EM, there are many intelligent Americans out there. Just that they are not as nasty as oil-hungry gangstars in the White House.

Read Catch-22 by Joseph Heller. It explains a great deal. Super-fun read too.

i have a trick for u. it's from zen & called stop desiring, wanting, needing, etc. because those lead to abject misery. stop wanting. poof! problems solved. ;)

EM, don't say that you're fucked up in your mind. Keep positive look on things however dim and stupid the world around you seems. Try to stay cheerful. And laugh at yourself. :)
