go team obama!

oh wait, this isn't a good thing :(

As long as you insist they're people, it's only right you tax them as such.

If Japan lowering it's makes you say the US now have the highest rate, I think you're wrong, and Germany is still higher. At least according to the CBO, but I might have old numbers.

What you sais and didn't say about the personhood of corporations is irrelevant. Just like it's not you that set the corporate tax rate.

The real question is Obama good for American business?

From my from my vantage point he sucks for the sole proprietor to the multi-national, and all that happens to fall in between.

The green tech firms do all right under The One...until they go under.

Then perhaps after all the deductions, research and capital investment credits are taken, maybe the corporations will actually pay something

Sadly, I think more corporations will move over seas. Google, Apple, GE (just to name a few) have moved assets overseas so that they don't pay US corporate income tax.

Then set a tarriff and call it a day. It's not really that complicated.

How would that fix that issue? When you move intellectual property and patents overseas you don't have to pay for those. Not sure we could place a tariff on those things.

They've already to the best of their ability moved their intelectual properties overseas. Nothing in the world is going to change that and lowering taxes to get whatever profit they can reap of that isn't worth the effort in the least.

Why not reduce most of the write-offs and reduce corporate income tax to 15%?

We can't fault those companies for moving assets overseas, after all, if the business isn't profitable there will be no business. What we need is an intelligent government that's business friendly not hostile

15% won't pay for the infrastructure they need to operate.

Our government is as business friendly as any first world nation. The fact that they can open a PO Box on an island and claim that the guy who came up with Windows 7 is the guy on that island and not the entire R&D department in Houston is the problem.

Wow, just wow. Maybe that is a Shamwow moment, Sean.
