...would you like to restart America in safe mode with free health care and no guns (recommended)?

<click yes>

thanks FB :D

The Soviet Union and East Germany were and they had both of those Liberal Dreams in place.

They did you one better by having full employment and housing.

They tried the Health care thingy years ago, but a lifeguard stopped them from going into those waters. It was too bad about the Passenger.

Libruls=Commies, Chief? That's an oldie but goodie!

OBAMABAD! CLINTONBAD! FIREBAD!

are you unaware that the labels all mean the same? its all a question os degree and a bit of semantics....

Communists are members of the Communist party. little[c]ommunists believe the commune is the highest for of human civilization, rather than individuals striving with enlightened self interest (not the same as selfish interest necessarily except in communist.

why would you as a liberal/progressive/modern BIG [D]emocratrat find that label insulting when your aims, and opinions about a big central government effecting change (for the good according to your way of thinking) is so closley in line with the pillars of communism?

If it Quacks like a commie....

The thing that cracks me up is that Aussies seem to be stupid enough to believe that health care is free...

It must grow on the tree...

Why would any rational populous want to disarm itself?

The only "Free Healthcare" I am aware of on the planet are in totalitarian socialist/communist societies where Medical professionals are trained by The State and compelled to practice as the state says on whom the state bestows the care.

Even then it isnt "free"...You have to be in good standing with The State and provide all of your labor for free to the state according to your ability.

From each according to his ability and to each according to his need is a GREAT deal if you are a professional mooch with very little talent and ability.

Oh that will be next...Doesnt EVERYBODY deserve a DECENT place to live for THEIR CHILDREN??

and who better to provide full employment than the government...I mean they can ALWAYS borrow or print more money to avoid layoffs...even in departments that identify 80-90% of their workers as "non-essential"...those evil rich only employ productive people.

It is one of the components of Health, and we have now firmly established that the government's job is to make good on the right to Health. How can you be happy without Health?

;) ;)

"You cap your health care budget, and you make the political and economic choices you need to make to keep affordability within reach."
"And it's important also to make health a human right because the main health determinants are not health care but sanitation, nutrition, housing, social justice, employment, and the like."
"One over-demanded service is prevention: annual physicals, screening tests, and other measures that supposedly help catch diseases early."

Donald Berwick
Death Panel Czar

The emotional hyperbolic, naturally, insist on continually referring to it as a "shutdown" when, in fact, it's actually a fiscally responsible government slimdown...

...and even if no compromise is reached, and even if the debt ceiling isn't raised, and even if Obamacare remains forever unfunded, the majority of the largest central bureaucracy the planet has ever known will continue to run more powerfully than any other government now on earth.

All the US is starting to experience is what it's like to live on a balanced annual budget...

...an annual budget that is fully funded to the tune of $3 trillion/year.

Alas, the true, economically fatal problem for the USSA is that while it's injurious enough that $3 trillion/year isn't enough for the entitled...

...the worse fact is that there's never enough for the spoiled among us.

Wait, whoah, stop. The rest of the world is entirely safe and perfectly healthy? When did this happen?

I am clearly watching the wrong news.

are you unaware that the labels all mean the same?

You clearly are unaware that they don't. Ignorance is perhaps excusable, except when, in your case, it persists, resists correction, and demands to be taken seriously.

i notice you didn't deign to "enlighten" me in my ignorance about the distinctions without a difference as I see it.

Ignorance is her business.
Business is good.

oo...i'm gonna write that down...you can really hurl that one anytime...its kinda like "yo mama!"

I wonder if you could explain the difference to me between say, "ignorance" and "stupidity" of maybe "uneducated" and "moronic".

How about maybe pointing out for the class the fine distinctions between say a cretin, an idiot and a dolt?

The Brits and the Japanese are rational enough.

The British were never armed...not the great unwashed, like our scary armed rednecks are..

We dis-armed the Japanese.

The British are starting to look more rational than us as they started to throw off the socialist yoke starting with thatcher. The Canadians are improving as is their dollar versus ours as they get their fiscal house somewhat in order...

the japanese will tell you they lost a DECADE (as will we) on keynesnean nonsense, so I dunno if they sensible or not...my china funds are doing better than japanese funds lately, so hard to say....can't compare them to US funds since I have nothing invested in the us at the moment.
