Amber Falls was built on the convergence of three lei lines nearly two hundred years ago. Amber falls has always been a magnet for the alternative, the mystical, the spiritual, and the nutters. The native Indians used to bury their dead here. It has always had a rich and colourful history. A town that was nowhere in particular, but on the way to everywhere.
That was until the highway came, bypassing Amber Falls altogether. Since then, it has been struggling. It has become a place where slowly but surely families leave for the big cities. Where the kids dream of better places to live and grow idle and bored.
The teachers at Amber Falls high school do their best. But Amber Falls High School is not just the home of disaffected teenagers. Some within their number are more. Amber falls is a gateway into the Fey realm. A place where the undead Ghosts, Ghouls, and Vampire can hide in plain view. Where Witches, Werewolves and things that look human, but are not walk among us.
There are many stories in Amber Falls, but this story begins in detention at the High School. Where the newest student is having a very difficult start to her year.
She enters where Mr Phillips the teacher is waiting impatiently. And a lone student, an 18 year old boy sits drawing in his sketch pad.
