Some information for those who publish in Amazon. I published a novel at the nice, plump 70% royalty rate. Apparently, someone, possibly from Turdistan, bought a copy. I discovered, to my shock and horror, that the sale was recorded at the puny 35% royalty rate. I e-mailed Amazon and the facist pig, pinko commies e-mailed me back the following bad news:

I've found that one or more copies of your book were sold outside of countries where the 70% Royalty Option is currently applicable. The 70% Royalty Option is only applicable for sales to customers in these sales territories:

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein,
Luxembourg, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Spain, United Kingdom (including Guernsey, Jersey and Isle of Man), United States and Vatican City.

Sales to customers in other locations will receive a 35% royalty. These sales are recorded separately in your royalty reports at the 35% rate.

That has always been the way. It is confusing to keep track of royalties but they do say that in their documentation.

Documentation be damned! I open up the possibly rich Turdistan market for Amazon and they cut my royalty payout? Truly they're facist pig, pinko commies and ungrateful to boot!

I want to laugh at the droll humor of this. But I can't quite decide that you're joking.

True

<<Only if he's a connoisseur of first rate erotica<<

Which, from what I've read in the papers, applies to most Catholic Priests, so as long as it's in the Gay genre your Papal blessing is on the way (whether you want it or not).:D
