I went to an Irish/Scottish festival yesterday, it was alot of fun of course... At one point a bagpipe band was playing and the began to play amazing grace. Not one word was spoken about September 11th, yet the entire one to two thousand people there stopped in their tracks and some people even openly wept...it was like all those memories of the brave policemen and firemen ran through your head automatically... had to fight back tears as well. It was just a beautiful tribute because it was not meant to be but just happened from everyone's heart... we all do still feel the pain but the amazing courage shown by some has renewed my faith in "ordinary" people...

Amazing Grace played on the bagpipes is always moving. It's a heart grabbing experience.

Hope your doing well, s :)

I'm doing excellent, thank you. It's suppose to be in the 90's here today and cool off toward the end of the week. The trees are just starting to change a little.

just resding that made teh hair on my neck stand up....Amazing Grace is my favorite song and played on the bagpipes is moving

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

When we've been here a thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

What a touching post, sufisaint! I can feel the solidarity and emotion in that crowd from what you write.

Thank you for sharing that. I can not watch anymore of it on TV. I am avoiding the TV Wednesday. I cry too much when I see it over and over.

I watched it the day it happened. I can't do it again.
