Amateur vs Pro

I grow weary of looking through all the usual haunts for certain things that are on my Fucket list. I think that I'm going to change course and go right to the Pro league.
Anyone have experience, either good or bad, that they want to share and just as importantly, PM me with info about how/where to start my search for that special someone that leaves after about an hour and a half!
