Am I hearing things? lol

HELP!

I know I'm not the most technically-saavy person on Lit. (Not by a long shot)...but it seems that I've been hearing music when I open certain threads.

Yesterday it began with a "Kissing" noise on certain ones. Today...when I open Sun's thread about getting hit by a car, I'm hearing keyboard music.

Is this something new that can be added to a thread, or is this perhaps something that has been done for awhile and I'm too dim witted to have picked up on?

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer...so I'm leaving all the possibilities open....lol

Spin, I'm seriously impressed by your abilities, but have you thought of the consequences?

What happens if more than one person embeds music in their sig line? Do we hear only the first litster with a musical sig line? Or do we hear them all at the same time? I'm guessing it won't be long before half the people at Lit have music in their sigs.

It's kinda like pulling up to a stop-light and hearing the music from a car two lanes away. I always wondered why they think everyone wants to hear the music they are listening to. I have a really nice sterio, and when I want to listen to music, I'll turn it on.

Could you do me a favour and remove the music from your sig-line please, it's very distracting and I do not wish to turn off the siglines I also need to have the volume up on my PC so I can hear people on ICQ...thank you

Hmmm... I do agree with the slow page load comments.

I'd hate to have to turn off the siglines, but I just may have to. If there's one thing I truly detest is surfing the net and running across someone's page who has a midi attached, and not being able to shut it off.

I won't shop internet store sites that have that particular annoyance.

You hear ALL of them. What's really great is if you open up multiple pages. They play as they load so it's disharmoneous and just a train wreck.

I try to be conscious. When I do put it in, I only leave it there for 20 min to an hour.

I have to admit that when I first started hearing music I pulled out the phone jack and did a reboot straight away as I thought a Virus had got onto my machine......glad to be wrong for a change
