Am I being a overdramatic?

Recently, I got one-bombed by a troll. A two month old story with 25 votes got ripped of it's "H". There was no message to explain why, so I assume it's just malicious. I don't really care about the scores as much as the number of views or feedback but I found it offensive that somebody thought it was their personal playground. As a result, I removed voting from all my stories.

Ya, I know that takes me out of the competitions and eliminates that "H" that can bring more views but I would rather give that up than allow more vandalism.

With about one percent, or less, of the views actually voting, a single troll can dismiss all their opinions in a few clicks.

Frankly, my stories aren't designed to win any poopularity contests anyway. I don't write incest stories.

Phantom bombs shouldn't be allowed. They really need to do something about them.

Especially if you had a H. It should go on percentage, where 5 votes rule out the one's. That would stop the random dickhead trolls hitting stories.

I feel your pain...

Though I feel my stuff is worthy of a 6 no one seems to vote that high. Actually my sarcasm takes me down a notch in voting as people judge more by the personality then the actual piece.

I think the number of views is a better indicator of how much people like your stuff. Keep writing and don't worry about it. Weather you accept votes or not, so long as you like it, that's all that matters.

I do however have a piece called "Kill Byll" that's had the longest run on the pending area. I suspect that'll go over the top but naturally get bombed by the trolls. Might as well pre-plug it.

Thanks for your support but it doesn't solve the greater problem. The only cure would be to encourage more readers to vote. However, I don't feel that it's the reader's responsibility to support the writers' egos. More votes tend to lower scores as there are less gratuitous 5's. Writers could usually use some humility. For example, I know that Grateful Fred could lose a few hat sizes. Just kidding.
