Ah, I know the feeling.

After a while your self-esteem just hits a real low, you lose your confidence, and women can smell desperation.


My ex and I agreed to split over a year ago, I was in my final year at uni, and couldn't give her the time and attention she needed.
So I prioritised, and I figure I made the right decision - I scraped a 2:1 (don't know if that means anything in america, probably not, but it's a pretty good degree), which I could never have done while in a relationship.

However, I've had nothing since then, and got into a mindset when, well, I figure I'm just not coming off as attractive.

No, desperation is a subtle but powerful stench and no ammount of scrubbing gets it out.


I figure the only way to overcome it is, like these guys say, to forget about it and stop trying. Then wait for something to happen on its own, or for her to come to you.
If you're not trying you can't be desperate, and it's amazing how quickly your feeling of self-worth recovers when you're with someone. I'd love not to judge my worth on what other people think of me, but it just doesn't happen
