Am I allowed to do this?

I'm pretty new to Literotica, so I'm not totally aware of all the more specific rules and stuff like that, but I was wondering if I am allowed to post some criticism of the site and what I believe are some unfair rules? I want people to see it because I'm sure other people agree with me as well, and I know that there will always be people who disagree as well. But I believe that there are some things about this site that aren't good or could be improved, and it should be discussed. I will not post it for now, but I wanted to ask this question first because I don't want to get reported for 'flaming.' I simply want to express that there are some rules that I believe are unfair compared to some things that ARE allowed on this site.

My criticism is not to hurt anyone or to attack the people behind the site, but it is something that I feel should be heard.

NO! now go sit on the timeout chair!

i don't think anyone, particularly the site owners, will give a shit if you post a critical rant. the site is free, you're here as a guest. besides, the owners have probably heard anything that you can come up with multiple times by now so good luck.

Say your peace, partner.

Okay, so one of my stories I've submitted was rejected. Of course, I was confused by this, as I believe there wasn't anything in the story that I believe would have broken any rules or would have a reason for it to be sent back.

So, I checked to see why. And this is what I was sent back with:

So I'm checking my story, and this is the section they are talking about, which is the introduction of the story:

This is the only part in my story that talks about how the character fantasizes about older men. There is no explicit descriptions or further elaboration on it. That's the only section in the entire story that ever talks about that, that one line. The rest of the story is about the character at nineteen years old having consensual sex with a sexy older man who is her type.

I think it's unfair that my story was sent back just because of that one line. All the character says is that she would fantasize about older men ever since she was younger, which is a reflection of myself and how I felt about older men since I was that age. As I said, there is nothing else in the story that refers back to this or elaborates any further on it. It's a little bit ridiculous, it's not like I had no idea what sex was at all and then somehow magically became sexually active as soon as I turned 18.

Look, I understand why this rule is in place, which is to protect minors and keep out pedophiles, but I think it's kind of hypocritical in a way that this site won't let you submit a story with one line talking about how a character would fantasize about older men, but at the same time will greenlight incest and non-con. It's a very strange place to draw that line on what's 'morally incorrect' when the site allows stuff that's equally as bad as pedophilia.

I just think it’s interesting how Literotica can be like; "Ooh, we can’t post that, you made a one-line reference to the character fantasizing about sexual activity when they were a teenager," but also be like; "WOWZA!!!! You wrote a story about a character who JUST turned 18 and is getting raped by their father, older brother, uncle, and grandfather at the same time? Great! We can absolutely post that!"

Anyway, this might seem like I'm being a bitch over one line that I can easily edit, which is what I did. I'm just frustrated that I was waiting for days for my story to be posted, and it got sent back because of one line that I believe didn't even break the rules. I hope there are others out there who have experienced the same thing and can relate to this. Once again, I'm not trying to attack the moderators or flame the site, but this is very frustrating and I believe it's unfair.

the rules literally state "fantasizing," which is the exact word you use. you obviously don't understand the rule, if you are going to copy and paste directly from your story onto a public forum knowing it breaks the rules. i hope you are banned.

It says explicit descriptions of fantasizing, where there is none.

The rules effectively say no one under eighteen should have any sexual interaction at all, including thinking about it.

The passage you posted clearly breaks the rule.

Zero mention of minors in any sexual situation. It doesn’t say explicitly sexual, it says none. You post in your complaint post the very wording refuting your complaint. This rule will not be changed. I’m sure there are other places to post your stories if this is the deal-breaker for you.

And as someone already mentioned, you’ll get a lot more productive of a discussion in the author’s hangout than the general board for story topics.

yamucha= "Busybody," the guy who has been banned dozens of times for inflammatory, trolling, and racist posts (Current userids are bidudinwi and Alterergo.)

Read some of his drivel on the politics board and you will understand. Hee needs to be punted off this site for good and his IP banned; it's long overdue.

You want to talk to Dixon Carter Lee who is the board expert on getting underage stories submitted.

You can complain about anything you want, but please don't get the idea that you're the first person in 20-plus years to bring this up, or that you're going to have any impact on the thinking of the powers that be. It's their rule and that's how it is.

My main thought, as someone who has been edited before for actual jobs, is that you should feel fortunate it's just one line.
