I know I'm not because I feel bad asking this question for others' opinions on the matter. Almost bad enough to withdraw this post. But I'm curious as to what some of you might think. I mean, this is a story site. Stories either fact or fiction but all are sprinkled with eroticism and fantasy...right? I was just reading a decent story but the author kept referring to herself as fat and jiggly and her fat ass and stomach. If this is to entice and most stories are fake and made up, wouldn't you draw a better picture? Im not saying create an unrealistic Wonder Woman or plastic surgery-enhanced barbie...For those that want to tell me that "Fat is beautiful too", I know that. Maybe there should be a new category for that. And I know nobody's perfect. But in adult-themed stories, shouldn't they be? IDK...What do you think?

I wouldn't say you're a dick. I just believe that the author was just giving the reader a picture of what her body type is, or the women in her story. Some like myself get off on those BBW chubby sexy women, so I'd get excited picturing that woman in the story. Also, to me it makes that story more realistic as well, why wouldn't you mention about what the girl looks like anyway? Us being an older late 60's couple, if I was writing a true of fantasy story about us, I'd say how old we are and what we look like, so the reader has that picture as they read. Am I reading your post wrong, why would we need a fat person category?

There's rarely any point in piping up to tell people their tastes or kinks are wrong. Clearly the author in this case is into Fatness. So what? There are about a billion other stories on the site to read if that's not something you're into.

If you have to ask the question, "Am I a dick?" you probably don't want the answer. Did you check the tags? You know, BBW was probably there. I used to be called 90lbs of Dynamite, but now it's just Dynamite, but if I was dynamite, it'd be a lot more than 90lbs! Just saying shit happens.

If you don't want to have to ask the question, be someone who reads/writes what you like and leaves everyone else alone to enjoy what they like to read/write, which would include not bringing them to the discussion board to razz.

Concise, intelligent, and spot on, bravo KeithD, Bravo!

Two separate questions here, one direct, the other indirect.

Are you a dick? Why would you be? Are you suggesting that you’re a dick for being surprised that somebody wrote an erotic story where the woman isn’t a classic Playboy centrefold?

First off, personal choices and preferences vary, not only from person to person, but also between cultures and times. (Check out Rembrandt ladies on that last, BTW.) Some men have a yen for redheads and that’s nothing shameful.

Secondly, I think that that ‘fat is beautiful’ can be entirely, absolutely right. It’s wrong to condemn women of a lusher body type for something they cannot control and big women can indeed be very beautiful (back to Rembrandt). That said, (donning Nomex and Kevlar) ‘fat is beautiful’ is sometimes used as excuse by women (and some men) who treasure pizza or Ben and Jerry’s a bit too much. Putting it a different way, there’s a difference between a full figure and sloppy fat, but there’s a slice of society which still expects people to overlook the laziness, selfishness and greed that lead some people to obesity and still consider them as desirable as somebody who works at it - exercising, eating healthy and so forth. People using ‘fat is beautiful’ as an excuse try to work other people’s guilt. You shouldn’t automatically buy into that.

So, large people can be lovely and such, but don’t get trapped by those who want to guilt you out.

Bottom line - I haven’t read the story and don’t know you, but there’s no evidence of your ‘dickdom’ based on just what you have said.

BBW is a fetish, and there is also "super BBW" take a look at the picture thread dedicated to BBW in the fetish forum and you can get some idea of how popular it is.

I have never written that kind of story, but will watch a BBW video from time to time, and I think the way the author described the character fits with the kink because jiggly and other descriptions are what turns them on.

To answer the question, you're not a dick for not caring for the story, everything is subjective, but bringing it here as an air of shaming to it, and that's not cool.

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, theOne666, but are you asking if you're a dick because in your LIT stories you prefer unrealistic Wonder Women and plastic surgery-enhanced barbies to all too realistic landwhales?

Well, according to the current wisdom that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, you sure are, aren't you? Now what do you make of the obvious? Will you finally adjust your personal preferences to find jiggly stomachs and fat asses beautiful too? If not, I'm sorry to inform you, but then you'll most probably stay a massive and incorrigible dick.

Hello irony.

Being fat isn't a moral failing. There's no more to "excuse" in enjoying pizza or Ben and Jerry's than there is in enjoying a good orgasm. It's weird how many people who've managed to get past religiously-imposed guilt about enjoying sex still think enjoying food is some kind of moral weakness. The point of "fat is beautiful" isn't to make others guilty, it's to shed some of the unwarranted shame that gets piled on anybody seen as "overweight".

(Yes, there can be health implications. No, most of you aren't nearly as well informed as you like to believe about those consequences, nor about what does and doesn't work for losing weight.)

I enjoy going to Marble Slab Creamery for excellent ice cream. My spread is more from a sedentary lifestyle and my former work being more active. ;) though, I expect my son to run some of the fat off me.

You're not a dick for having your own preferences. You risk becoming one if you expect every story on Literotica to cater to them.

And I know nobody's perfect. But in adult-themed stories, shouldn't they be? IDK...What do you think?

Ah, now, that is an interesting question, and one that possibly deserves its own thread.

We're all imperfect and we all want to be happy. Some enjoy reading stories that do away with the imperfections. But others enjoy reading stories where imperfect people - people like you and me! - get to be happy.

Most of you missed my point entirely. But I'm glad for your responses. It had nothing to do with the state of health people find themselves in around the world. The story was in a specific category and was not tagged BBW. I have nothing against heavy people. So much so, that I just used the phrase "heavy people" so as not to offend by using the word fat. You're right, you don't know me because I'm not a dick. And as far as me shaming or razz'ing, I think I would have to have mentioned a name or the title of the story for that to take place. Which I didn't. It wasn't even this site where I read the fuckin story, but it WAS here where I tried to ask: If porn stories are fantasy shouldn't the characters be also and not so reality based. Because the line between fantasy and reality is as deep as the sea. But not to most of you. Remember where you are.

I like BBW stories, have written BBW stories, and have real life experiences with BBWs. I still don't think you're being clear but I will say that if a story was written from first person, even in the woman's head, and kept phrasing their body negatively... Then I probably wouldn't like it. Even if said author/character was trying to "Own" those words... Nah. If it was said in Quotes but not always thought...

"Fuck my fat ass!" I screamed as he pounded into me, strong fingers digging into my ass like it was the hottest thing in the world.

Or that type of thing, I'd be okay with that. I will say in my random wanderings about Literotica, it's rare that I come across BBW stories. And the couple I've written, while I can't be a hundred percent sure, haven't done as well because of it. Most people here (readers on this website not authors in this Forum) seem to prefer giant cocks and hour glass babes. Which is mostly fantasy and not much reality, but everyone has their thing so who are we to judge? Just do what I've done for over a decade, shrug, hit the Back Button, and go to another story. There are more on this website than you could ever read (probably) so no worries about running out.

If porn stories are fantasy shouldn't the characters be also and not so reality based.
Ignoring you're scritchiness, is this ^^ the question you wanted to ask?

"No", but that's my opinion... not even an opinion, but my preference. I'm not even sure what fantasy means in this context, because my imagination is suddenly full of Disney characters. Is fantasy in an erotic context a projection of what the porn industry knows is profitable - a sanitised, depilated, sphincter-bleached and air-brushed cartoon of a person who never has a period or takes a shit? Probably. Personal fantasy is something entirely different but is nevertheless tainted by the porn industry version.

I'll just say I HATE! when a story is all made up of the hot sexy perfect body woman, or the perfect Alpha stud with a cock they say as fat as a beer can, give me a break. I LOVE! reading a story where the woman describes herself as a chubby horny woman in need of a man to fuck her. I love them telling me about their age too in the stories, so I have that thought if their an older mature couple or a younger person. The story should tell something about their looks, size, age. Wouldn't you think that would be important as you read so you can have a picture of the people in your mind. So, the author wanted people to have a picture of her sexy fat body as they read her story, I LOVE IT!

No. You are not a Dick. You just prefer a different sort of story. There are millions of stories on Literotica and some cater for specialized tastes. If one story doesn't match what you want, try another.

It is not wrong to dislike a premise.

So... I guess your 'dickiness' wasn't an honestly legitimate inquiry then? Too bad, because I'm sure that there's a massive entourage of 'heavy people' in the world who would be delighted to give you their opinions. And since you asked, mine is that some people need to take self-improvement classes to reach the status of 'Boss-Hog-Dick'. But feel free to reach for the stars.

It would appear that your question has been misinterpreted. OK, it now seems to be more focused on whether or not porn characters should be fantasized, 'improved' perhaps.

To that extent, then yes, porn is fantasy and fantasy should be enjoyable and having 'optimal' characters (good figures, handsome/pretty, well-hung, multi-orgasmic, whatever) supports that enjoyment. To expect that is not unusual, nor does your looking for such make you a dick. People read fiction to enjoy themselves.

That said, what is 'optimal'? Staying just with male readers to keep the discussion simple, some readers get maximal arousal/satisfaction reading about (or viewing) slender blondes with blue eyes. For some it's large-breasted redheads. And so on. (BBW is of course on the list.)

But - Rule 34 - there are certainly men who find the sort woman you mentioned in the OP appealing. For such readers, 'optimizing' a female character by writing her with higher, firmer breasts, a narrower waist and a lean, athletic figure might make her less appealing.

Does that answer your original question?

I now think the poster is a dick. Preferring something else altogether and quietly going to elsewhere to read and leaving those alone who like to write/read this is what someone who wasn't being a dick would do. The OP doubled down on being a dick about it.
