Am I a cunt for thinking Jenner is a dude?

Is calling Jenner a man bigoted?

I'm asking for a friend :D

A writer and inspirational speaker is being raked over the coals for Tweeting her opinion that Jenner isn't particularly brave and that he remains a dude.

And why does she believe that Jenner is a man?

“A couple things: one, he was born male. To my knowledge he has an XY chromosome, he has male genitalia, which he is not going to get rid of, which I think is extra bizarre,” she said. “If tomorrow Caitlin Jenner went out and committed a murder, you do realize that DNA is going to male. If I identify as the Queen of Eng land, you’re going to put me in a straitjacket. This is disturbing.”

I think it's fair to call the reactions to her opinion knee-jerk and uncalled for.
Is calling Jenner a woman a request or is it a demand?

Is it truly bigoted to still consider Jenner a man, despite his wishes to the contrary?

he's been a whack job for decades. i think it's safe to call him a whack job.

Is it wrong just not to get caught up in that circus?

While it may be true that he is still a male, please, for fucks sake, don't refer to it as a man.
This is a complete embarrassment to all men.

He might well be that too - I'd never even heard of him before all of this.

Is it wrong just not to get caught up in that circus?

This is serious. I'm having an identity crisis here. Cunt or not? Cunt or not??

Nah...... God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.

Vapid.

What an odd thing to say.

much like racism, even if you're talking about one specific douchebag, if you use bigoted terms you insult all and perpetuate discrimination. even if you aren't whole heartedly convinced, it costs you nothing to call this person 'she', and it is devastating to other trans people when you continue to use 'he' or a dehumanising 'it'. so why do it, other than to cause distress? this group already has one of the highest suicide rates of any group, higher than homosexuals, due to the taunting and abuse they face or fear facing.

what exactly are you getting out of it?

In other places on this site I've seen people having the same giggle. The fact that Bruce Jenner was a famous decathlon champion which seems ultra manly going to this dramatic change makes the story startling and so I get that part.

What I don't get as the locker room giggling in a supposedly sex-positive site. even if this is some sort of weird publicity stunt or whatever she is still going to be an important figure for a lot of actual people that struggle.

The issue I see is that there's every indication (indeed it's already started) that Jenner is going to make this into a personal cash cow circus. The principles involved are fine with me; the Kardashian spins that are being put to it aren't. So, I'll just sit off to the side on this one and let the parade do its thing.

She seems an utterly worthless entity, but I am sure he was that beforehand. No worse than the rest of the tribe, and nothing to do with transsexuality.

In grad school they gave me a little liberty to explore off the reservation, and I scouted things like animal genitalia, retroviral theory of schizophrenia, alcohol genetics, sundry viral diseases linked with sexual intercourse, hyperactivity, and something called androgen insensitivity syndrome where xy males develop as females.

They inherit a defective gene from their mothers that blocks androgenic hormones like testosterone. Males are specialized females. But because AIS males look and act female theyre allowed to live as natural females. Most marry males. That said, they have shallow vaginas and tend to be taller and more attractive than natural females. I suspect many of these people are in entertainment or are msm celebrities. But they have no female gonads or other female reproductive organs. No periods.

Its proper to refer to them as females, because their female stuff is all natural. They got no penis to remove. Their tits come from Mother Nature. They prefer girly activities to sports and porn.

Why does it matter unless they asked you to sleep with them?

It matters for the same reason it matters when public officials expose sealed court records, because society agreed to create and execute sundry conventions...like protecting juveniles from public scrutiny and harassment.

If Jenner dressed as a cop or Marine or medical doctor and impersonated such a person he'd be arrested, and he wouldn't be the person he impersonated. John Wayne was never a Marine or cowboy. He never was a duke.

You're more confused than Jenner.

There is no doubt that Jenner is going to become a role model, the question being what sort of role model? There is every indication that he intends to turn this into a freak show for purely personal financial gain. I am not very hopeful that he's going to be much of a positive role model for the most vulnerable group within the LGBT community, that being those in the adolescent to young adult (12 - 24) age group.

There is no question that bullying contributes to the suicide rate within the aforementioned vulnerable group, but it is not the only factor. Even with family and peer group support the suicide rate among LGBT's within the vulnerable group is still unusually high suggesting there is more at work here.

In order for Jenner to be effective he has to be able to reach the non-LGBT group in the 12 - 24 age group and be able to capture their sensibilities in such a way as to cause them to be at least neutral if not sympathetic. I have my doubts that he can relate to that crowd in a positive manner.

I get so tired of people calling him brave.

Using the same term to describe someone who is unhappy with their current gender and gets elective plastic surgery as our military or police or people who are actually brave, shows a pretty shitty societal perception. I also find it despicable that he won the Arthur Ashe Courage Award when there are people who are actually courageous and not making a media circus of their life.

I don't give a donkey's dick what Bruce Jenner does with his jibbly bits. If he wants to cut them or tie them up in a knot or whatever, it makes zero difference in my life. He is a media whore and I find he and his family a sad reflection of what our society admires.

I do not believe that transgendered people should be mocked or ridiculed or made to feel less than. I feel incredibly sad for someone who has what is not unlike a body dismorphic complex. However, being asked to admire someone who makes a circus out of every aspect of their lives is a bit much.

If he wants to try to be brave, try coming out like that in Iraq.

Jenner is insulated in large part by the whole Kardashian machine. Too many people with a lot at stake are making too much money to not support Caitlyn. The typical trans has nothing of the sort. Thus, other than making more money, Bruce coming out as Caitlyn will have no real effect when it comes to changing lives ... other than making those famous for being famous more famous ... for a while.

This.

The only persons(s) benefiting here are the people making money. To most of the world, it's perceived as a joke.

If Caitlyn were brave, she would've come out decades ago. She doesn't have to face what a typical trans would face now. She feels safe in the cocoon that is the Kardashian machine. She can bury herself in that and her millions of tweeters and feel all normal and shit. Caitlyn wouldn't have the balls (pun sorta intended) otherwise to do what she is doing now.

Exactly. How brave is it to come out when you have media, Hollywood, the entire E! Network doing everything they can to promote you and throw cash at you. That's hardly impressive.

I think a reason people have a hard time calling Bruce Jenner a she is because, to some, gender is not something that can be changed with plastic surgery. It doesn't change one's DNA. If that's how a person defines he or she, then they make a case as to why they wouldn't call them something other. Personally, I don't give a shit.

I wish this Caitlyn fellow all happiness in her future endeavours as a female, excuse me, woman.

If she could've had my plumbing this week, I wonder just how dedicated to being a woman Caitlyn would've been.

There is always next month.
