Regarding the Karen Kraft thing. I've been thinking about this in my sort of detached and clinical way. Is there any other way to account for the seemingly damning evidence?

So this thread is a place for people to post other hypotheses and for posters to challenge or falsify them.

I have not been here very long, so I'm guessing I'd see it differently if I had a long history with The Entity Formerly Known as Karen Kraft.

I think we'd be fools to assume that even the majority of people on this site are who they claim to be. From having a fake avatar to engaging in an all-out, full-time fabrication like HeyitsDani...I think that many people are here to reinvent themselves in some way.

I was unaware of the deal with the seeds/addresses and the pics of very young women...that's creepy regardless...and if the blonde chick in the pics/video was either unwilling or unaware that her likeness was being used, I think that's a huge invasion of privacy.

All of that being said....I don't get why people are so shocked. The bottom line is that unless you've spoken to someone on cam or in real life....who the fuck knows who you're really talking to. Be careful!

Well, I got an answer to something that has been puzzling me for a very long time, mainly what got "Karen" all torqued up about me in the first place.

Back in 2009, "Karen" was lecturing us about the greatness of the Reagan administration in a thread. I helped correct some egregious falsehoods that "Karen" made. "Karen" responded that she had very clear memories of the second Reagan administration and that I couldn't possibly be right....

Now, at the time I thought "Karen" was "Junior", so I responded "How could you have clear memories? You were only around 4 years old?"

"Karen" went apeshit. We're talking scorched-earth, take-no-prisoners, frothing-at-the-mouth apeshit.

NOW, with the benefit of hindsight, it's rather obvious that it was "Daddy" not "Junior" posting, and "Daddy" actually HAD lived through the Reagan Administration and remembered it.....but "Karen" couldn't admit this without admitting that she wasn't a 20-something.

I don’t think that most are “shocked” at all. It is just final confirmation of what most have suspected for a long time. A “gotcha” moment.

As for alternative explanations; none that I can think of, that wouldn't require all sorts of mental gymnastics to convince oneself.

Well, I think that we are so accustomed to dealing withnutcases with 3 or 4 alts that when a nutcase comes along and allows a few people to participate from the same account, it's bassically inconcievable.

Likewise, when an alt has been busted people normally drop it and run with another one, rather than stubbornly stick to the old one, put more effort into it, and wait for turnover in the community, memories to get fuzzy and doubts to creep in, enough to validate them.

We don't live in Hollywood. We don't imagine hiring an actress to perpetuate / lend credibillity to a hoax. Who in their right mind would throw money at failure ?

I missed the most recent deleted threads as well. This debate has been going on for years now so maybe I'm a little more familiar.

The poster known as KK has always said that that was her real name, that it wasn't a pseudonym, like the rest of us. I think that's all anyone really knows. Whether they are posting together and she is aware of it remains to be seen, I guess...

I do not know Perg, or anyone seeing this post. I do not know KK as well as most here. I have stayed clear of the drama involved with KK/Ken/ or whoever that person is. I never seen Sonny's deleted thread or whatever links spurred from that.

I do think that Laurel is upset and I am not going to question her decision. I certain there was good reason for it. I am also certain the situation is under further review for a better understanding. Like it or not, Laurel or Manu can kick any of us off their free site whenever they damn well please for whatever reason they want. I do not think either would be unfair. This is a place primarily for writers and their readers; not a place placing primary concern about the goings on of an undermoderated GB.

We should all be grateful they place such a high priority on someone's right to privacy.

An alternative explanation for all the evidence, on the other hand, would be even more convoluted and inexplicable.
