The setting: Modern Day – 2020

The Place: Communist Russia

The Story: Russia, along with the help of China, has taken over the majority of the world, save America, Japan, and Great Britain, also a few other coalition countries. The Dictator of Russia is a man known as Nikolai Draschuschev. A large man with a full beard, beady brown eyes, and a foul smell and complexion about him. His mind is almost merciless. In the beginning he slew ten men just to get to his position as Dictator of Russia.
During the Conquering of the various countries, Russia, Japan, China, Great Britain, and the U.S.A., began conducting experiments on humans. The mind was a fragile puzzle to them, but they decided to fiddle with it anyways. The minds of various soldiers and countrymen soon turned into violent ones. Their thoughts could paralyze a single person five feet away. Their very commands could be carried out in instances.
After the experiments were complete and test results were partially finalized, a German scientist (working for the Russian Government) quoted this age as, “Alter von den Gemütern,” or, Age of the Minds. The test subjects were nearly perfect, save a few lapses in their memories. Around 2009, Nikolai Draschuschev demanded that all test subjects have their memories erased of the experiments, however their powers would still be available to them.
The test subjects were placed on different territories of land, with no memory of the experiments.
As times changed, so did the powers of the test subjects. Soon, they began to discover their powers, and used them to their own, or their countries, advantage. The powers evolved beyond the scientist’s and leader’s beliefs. Soon, new forms of mind power could be used: Alchemy, Telekinesis, Kinetic Manipulation (Fire, Ice), Mind Speak, Ghost Speak, and Black Magic, all of which were developed from the mind.
Soon, countries began to use the subjects, now known as, Psi’s, to their own advantage. Putting them onto battlefields as trump cards was only the beginning though. Soon leaders began to use them for espionage, secret infiltration, demolition, and even sabotage.
Each remaining country is fighting for survival and to restore peace, or destroy it.

OOC: This is a little RP I created in my spare time, if you’d like to join, read the above story, and fill out a character profile. The only boundaries that I ask are, no more than two powers per person, and not impossible powers either.

Anything else you think I should know:

Name: Hayden Wiley

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Alliance: Britain

Appearance: 6'2, 215lbs, Black hair in ponytail that reaches down between his shoulder blades, black goatee, blue eyes, slightly thin build, but toned. Generally wears long, knee-length coat.

Weapon: Carries shoulder-holster Glock 9mm pistol (10 shots magazine + 1 in chamber) at all times. Sleeps with pistol under pillow.

Attitude: Very untrusting and has hard time taking anyone at face value. Flashbacks of mind altering experiments have made him slightly standoffish and a borderline loner. Very jumpy, but not paranoid. Often disappears from family and friends for long periods of time without explanation.

History: As one of the final experimental subjects in Britain, Wiley was subjected to a highly accelerated program which left lasting marks on his psyche. Without the final sessions, aimed at dealing with pain, he has had to find ways to suppress the pain caused by using the powers. This suppression has led to severe flashbacks at times. Before the experiments, Wiley was a student in chemical engineering at Oxford, where he spent his free time sculling and fencing, and went on to earn his masters degree in biological genetic engineering. He was pulled into the program because of his high intelligence and ability to filter out physical pain. Initial plans were to use Wiley as covert ops agent assigned to infiltrating high-security installations, but plans were changed when flashbacks became a liability to mission success. Wiley is now on-call to MI5 (Much like the CIA of the United States), and has performed several missions into Western European nations to retrieve sensitive information.

Powers: Can mask other's minds and effectively "disappear" from the visual spectrum
(Not invisibility, but people do not see him when using his power). There has also been some emergence of a second power, the ability, when intensely focusing, to impart large amounts of force on objects from a distance. This power has not been fully developed, and may emerge with time. Currently, power can only be used intermittently, and only for short periods of time.

Weakness: Can still be picked up by cameras, infrared sensors, guard dog noses, etc. Suffers flashbacks to experimental procedures and mind training periodically, most frequently following use of a power. The flashbacks are normally mild and do not interfere with daily life, but following times when power is used extensively, flashbacks can become quite real in his mind causing lapses in judgment and short bouts with psychosis.

Other Info: Nothing as of yet, but may come up with additional background information during play. If you have questions or concerns with this idea, PM me.

Good, now we need more than just one player...anyone else interested?

OOC: By the way Stigma, I like the idea. If you don't mind, I might take it and run with a story or two based on the general theme. I may have to tweak it a bit, but the idea of mind alteration is quite fascinating.

Go ahead, and in return, could you possibly fit me into the story? I don't care where or how, I just want the name Stigma somewhere in the story...if you don't mind.

Name: Patrick Hannigan

Age: 32

Gender: Male

Alliance: US

Appearance: 5 11" 180 lbs stocky but it is all muscle because he is a Navy SEAL/field agent. If he is not wearing camo, then he has on green cargo pants and a black shirt.

Weapon: Carries a standard Beretta .45 pistol and a knife in his boot.

Attitude: Patrick has become a loner after he had his brain wiped form the project. He used to be a obedient solider, but now has a problem with authority. He will not trust a man until they have been in combat together.

History: Patrick had been in the SEALS for five years when he was chosen to become part of the project. He was noted as being very intelligent and having good problem solving skills. In his platoon, he served as recon and spotter to the platoon sniper. After the mind wipe, he began to buck against authority and was demoted twice. He was then taken to military intelligence, where he was trained to become a ghost operator. He can attach himself to any platoon, company, or squad for however long until his mission is completed, no questions asked.

Powers: He can form psyoknesis energy (Psyblades, energy balls, etc.)
He also has noticed a new power, in which he can hear people’s thoughts. This is a very faint power, and he con only hear them during times of extreme focusing

Weaknesses: Patrick drinks heavily and is starting to have it interfere with his missions. He had also noticed that he is more sensitive to mind attacks
