When I signed up at Lit I didn't expect that I'd be active, so I just threw together a nic without much thought. What I have I'm not happy with. Better to come up with a new one now, the one I really want, or just forget it? "Degeneres" would still be part of it.

It depends on how much and whether or not you consider your present nick to be your identity on Lit. And how much of a headache it is if you want to transfer stories.

*does Happy Llama dance*

It would be easier now than later. But is it worth it?

You already have a 'presence' here with your nik. You are recognised.

*trots off*:)

I did the same thing, but I accidentally created a second profile, one for lit, one for the CHYOO site. Sometimes I log in as Bran Hopewell, sometimes as The Darkness.

But I'm known as both, perhaps better as The Darkness, but it really doesn't matter. Once an alt becomes common knowledge among the folks you usually talk with, it becomes easy to follow who's who.

It brightens my day to see that happy llama dance. Hat's off to you.

If the name is just changed rather than creating a new identity, you don't have to transfer stories.

Not sure what you mean, bb_peaks. I just looked at "profile" and "options" and I'm not seeing something like that. I guess what I hope to do is make it "Leto Degeneres" without too much fanfare.

<shrug>OTH, maybe the Llama's right; not worth the trouble as far as AH is concerned. I'm still working on my first story so I imagine I can put up the pen name I want just before I submit it. I'm thinking that there's not much linkage between pen names for stories and my identity in the forum. Would that be a good assumption?

I have much the same dilemma as you do, although I'm significantly less "far into it" than you.

But, I got to the point where I felt like, "If it's that important to me what nickname I choose on an erotic literature forum, I'm need to find better things to do."

So, Kaithel it remains. :D
