Ok, I just heard this on the radio and loved it. For music fans, it's about the 80's. Not today or the 90's or the 70' <g>
That being said, here's the question:
What are the names of the three bands whose names are comprised of a combination of letter's and number's but didn't necessarily make words??<basically, their entire band name was numbers and letters>

An '80s pop group. They were around for all of about five minutes. Their one hit that I remember was Look of Love.

There are too many to remember, or even look up.. But I know that AC/DC was a 70's band so that one is out... same with ABBA..

UFO, But I'm not really sure that this one was a 70's or not..

UB40 , Yep 80's band . During the 80,s , unemployment was high in the U.K. and to sign on to recive your unemployment benefit you used a UB40 form , that's how they got their name .

ABC , god I remember them did they also do a record called "poison arrow" or is that the same song as "look of love" ?

What about XTC ? .

LOL, you guys should read <g> <no offense> The radio said that there were only three bands in the 80's in which their band name was comprised of a mix of number's and letters to create their name but not spell anything. <g> Teehee, U2, b_52's and someone else <g>

U2 , A German submarine which sank on the 8th of April 1944 ,
B-52's , The letter and number's of the Stratofortress .

So do they count like wise with UB40 .
