Alouettes or Eskimos?? What say you?

The Grey Cup is this Sunday! Montreal versus Edmonton. The Als look to be a better team but Edmonton has been hotter as of late. The game is in Edmonton so the Esks will have a ton of home support.

Phillips is said not to play, but you know he will. Avery should play..

Any thoughts? Any comments?

Once that "real world" gets a "real playoff system" and not the BcS poll to let a bunch of suits hand pick a champion, get back to me about college football and you may then have an argument that those rivalrys lead to a legit champion.

Too funny, I saw you post in a Hockey thread awhile back that you were happy that Dallas won and even better that it was over Edmonton. Now I know why, as it is any team over Edmonton is a good thing.
I agree though the name does suck, but fortunately the team doesn't.

Not really.. I'm a big Stars fan so any Stars win over any other team is sweet, but that win against Edmonton was very sweet with Modano scoring an "angry goal" in OT.

It's also sweet to see the Stars constantly own the Oilers like they do.

All kidding aside, I think it comes down to Avery. If he plays, the Esks win.

Well the names WERE different!

Saskatchewan has the Roughriders (a nickname paying tribute to cowboys who rode horses) and Ottawa had the Rough Riders (a nickname paying tribute to loggers who rode logs down a river)

Can't be as bad as yesterdays Vanier Cup ... At least you knew the Huskies were going to win.. You just didn't know if it was going to be U of S or St. Marys.

Normally I'd agree with you.. but I wanted St. Mary's to win. Dean Jones is an old teammate of mine in high school. It's great to see he still has some wheels.
