I know when I travel I hit the bars at night just to get out of the room at the minimum. Sometimes I just a beer or two and back to the room and every once in a while find someone interesting to talk with. If you get lucky, might have a great story to write.

Escort sounds interesting but have no idea how to do that in the US.

Chatting with one of the ladies of lit could be fun too.
