The Freedom 100 is the warm-up act, so to speak, for tomorrow's Indianapolis 500.
Indy Lights cars are, no surprise, the ladder-series cars to full-blown Indy cars.
Tomorrow's ABC 500 telecast will feature the first female host, and the 33-car field itself contains 4 female drivers within it.
ABC's broadcast of The Greatest Spectacle in Racing begins @ 1100 ET; it should include coverage of a bunch of midwestern Boston Marathoners who were unable to finish that race because of the terrorist bombing, but are being officially allowed to finish their runs tomorrow at the Brickyard before the race.
If you're a big race fan and up early in the AM tomorrow...
...Formula 1 races at majestic Monaco - NBC begins its coverage @ 0730 ET.
And, of course, the taxicabs - NASCAR Sprint Cup cars - race 600 miles in Charlotte starting in the late afternoon and going into the night; FOX will broadcast live. They'll have some crazy woman driver named Danica competing there.
So, that's somewhere over 1200 miles of racing by 98 of the world's most fortunate drivers, 5 of them female...
