easily sealed

or pigeonholed and safed..
curious mass of have-nots
that are not new
to knots of time during the human odyssey...
it is a mass dynamic that has born
revolutions
and evolutions
and despotisms
and reactions...
it has terrorized at the haves
and energized the have nots
and with enough inertia
creates change...
the whole 99% thing resonates
in all of its permutations
because the root cause is best represented by
mostly economic disparity.
the dogma -( if indeed this latest attack is jihadist as it seems)
is but a simple but effective pass
and guide
that leads the mass towards effecting change...
it is not the true intent of islam to do these horrendous things
it is the perversion of it that does so...
the greater point is that
the effectiveness of the terrorism
to subvert the status quo
may - over time - breed greater events
by other groups of have nots
who have nothing to lose
and are simply coopted
to do the brutal bidding of their 1% who incite...
there are great masses of the disparate
all over
who (as we are seeing with the shrinking of middle classes in most of the west)
may reach a like critical mass...
paris is a jarring point
as was 9/11
but perhaps even more so...
for as 9/11 forced the west to adjust to owning
their proscribed part in an unwanted
"us" v "them",
paris - with hebdo and now this -
the war has leapt from the envelope
onto "our" streets
instead of poorly chasing at it stupidly
on "theirs"
and unless we find a way to cunningly address the issues involved,
the 'effectiveness' of such terroristic actions
may prove disastrously instructive
to other desperate actors
inciting other cooptable disparate masses...
we cannot be lured into comfortable envelopes
as if they ensure safety...
