Can i translate the Novel in Lit i loved into another language ?

Hi guys!
How r u ,so glad to see all u guys here. I really love this site & the stories & all the things here so much . Hope we can be firends to share thoughts and share good things each other.
Well, let me tell u how i found this site and how to lost in it. I'm a English-major,not from a English-speaking country.But i love the En language when i first met it.So i've been trying to find a English version stories or novel for English improvement and for fun . Luckily ,i found this site via Google.hmm,lucky me ! I just thought i found a new world of mine and i believe i'll spent much time on this future.
After i touched this site,i begun to source some interested stories. I remembered the first story(or first story i loved) is the Service by TryAnything.Thanks Mr. Try , u really did a good job. I spent days and nights to read the story Mr. Try created , mmmmmmmmm,so cool , and i cum and cum for times. Thanks again . And the 2nd story i most loved is the A Mother and her son by rgjohn. i'm so interested in it that i translated it into Chinese.It spent me almost for weeks,since i have to spent much time in office. Finally, the job had been completed already ,it's been translated as i read it .I ,sure, send it to my friend to read it,they all were wowwed by the scene and the story .Some girl said she almost wet completely when she just read for some part of thre whole one;some big woman also loved so much ,mmm. They became my close friend by read the stories i translated. Actually ,it's not me who did well, it's actually rgjohn who did a fantastic work. Pls allow me to show my admiration to u Dear rgjohn .
When i finished my virgin work(CN version of the story ), i really want to translate more stories from this site. Because , i found there are still more great stories besides the two i loved.
But the question /concerns occured,because i'm not sure if i can do this.Is there any copyright issue involved,although i have no commercial purpose on it,just for fun and translation improvement.

Thanks again to Dear TryAnything and Dear rgjohn for sharing such a great stories. Also ,thanks any guy who give the advice . Any comments & suggestions are quite appreciated.

No, it's against U.S. (and international) copyright law for you to translate for publication anywhere (including on the Internet) someone else's work here without their written permission.

You can certainly translate them for your personal use though. You just can't publish that translation in any country (or cyber space) that has signed the International Copyright Convention.

Thanks much for ur response. yep, i knew and agree what u said about the copyright issue. In fact, i never thought of publication for money etc.
What i did is just for personal use ,no other purpose.
However,i'll continue to translate any stories i loved for personal use,just like for translation experiences or just for fun etc,but will ask the Author for permision & thoughts on any issue against the copyright law.

Thanks for ur advice. As i said,i'll translate the stories i loved,but ask for Author's permission regarding any issue against the copyright law.
However, I'll only translate what i loved,love the guys who created it.

I don't want to encourage actually breaking the law but to tell the truth oooyeahmmm, even though translating and showing others the stories does break copyright, I don't think much would happen if you continued doing it.

It's not like you're selling the stories or pretending that you wrote them, which is what copyright enforcement protects against.

You sound like a decent guy (or girl) and as long as you're asking the authors' permission and don't copy the stories if they refuse, then you're not breaking the law anyway.

And if you can't get permission from one there are still thousands of other stories and authors at Lit to pick from.

I suspect I may be like many writers in here who wouldn't mind letting you translate stories for your own purposes, and/or to share with personal friends, just so long as you contacted me about it first. I bet most authors have some sort of contact info listed, so if you're ever in doubt, just talk to them!

If you are translating stories for fun or for practice, as long as you don't use your translation, there's no harm, no foul. When I studied Spanish, I would sometimes translate Spanish songs and short stories into English. This was merely for practice. I never showed the translations to anyone. I'm sure I just threw the notebook away when I was finished with it.
If you were to make copies of the translation, post it on a website or blog, or show it to people claiming authorship, then that would violate copyright laws.

Actually, I like to have people tell me they have copied them so they can take them to bed and read them, either alone or with somebody else. It's even okay if they email them to somebody. I won't and also don't like to break the law .Reinform that 1),i won't sell the story for money;2),i won't tell that the story are created by myself ,but just translated by me ;3), i'll let people know who created it originally ,where i seletetd it;
BTW, hehe ,i'm a boy ,actually , a Man already .
I'll ask the author for permission to translate it in future .
I'm not sure if u know more about my country,but this kind of stories are really not allowed to be posted or distributed anywhere ,not speaking of to publish them, No way !I mean ,In China. That's also why i love here ,especially the freedom &respect here.
If i will post them ,Literotica is my first & only choice for me.

Hope i can get more permission from the Author here .Thanks ,in advance, for ur surpport& understanding !

Yes,as u said, i'm translating them just for fun & practice.I think,it should be for fun first,then for practice ,however, interest is the power . The more i translated , Maybe the emphasis will be alternated .
I will just post the translated version on the website after received the permission from the author,i mean ,here .

You need permission to copy a story from Lit. and make a commercial use of it. People do this all the time, and is has been a subject of much griping and much action by authors, including myself. However, you already have permission to read the stories. The fact that they are posted gives that. If you want to download them and print them to read them and show them to others, or otherwise use them, you also have permission to do that. If, for your own purposes, you want to print them and translate them into another language and show that to others, you also have permission to do that. As long as you don't make any commercial use of the translation, such as making copies and selling them, or posting them on another site.

That would depend on what you mean by "distribute". Making multiple copies of many stories and selling them in loose-leaf form would be a copyright violation. Making a copy, translating it and sharing it with your SO would not be.

There are many words in English that mean "walk" also: Step, pace, stroll, saunter, meander, stride, and others. Besides that, the word has several different meanings, although they are usually associated.
