How can i get one of the cool cartoons so many of you wonderful people have by your user names? also, how would i get mine there?

well roosterboy the first thing you have to do is get 100 posts or you can't add an avatar to the board.

Second, go to the second link from the right at the top of the page (search) and search the How To forum for the word Avatar for one of the other six dozen threads that contain your question and the answers.

(note, disregard any of the older instructions that talk about using <img src=...>)
