Why do adult shops insist on hiring sleazy staff?
This morning I decided to replenish my stock of massage oil (massages are big in this house), so off I trot to the local sex shop - we all know that the best massage oil can be found there.
On the way in I passed an old guy clutching his paper bag - no prizes for guessing what he had in there - he sorta glanced my way but was more interested in getting his booty to the car. On the way home I spotted this same guy at the local park, sitting in his car bobbing up and down - presumably to the radio....
So far so good.
I wander in and head for the massage oil section, the guy behind the counter - older, biggish, balding with what hair he has left has been badly bleached, and he had the long scraggy bits of hair sort of 'draped' across his scalp...oh yeah we always fall for that one! - is by my side in an instance. For christ sakes does it not occur to the man that some customers might want to 'wander' in private?
"Can I help you?" he asked while trying to look down my top
"No thanks I know what I'm after" I replied
"What's that?" he says - his eye's tell me that I've already been mentally undressed and not found wanting he heads in for the kill.
"Is this for solo massage? I did a massage course and can help you with techniques if you want?"
I glared at him but obviously not hard enough cause he continued his chatter... "Massage can be satisfying but you probably already know that eh?"
I grabbed the nearest bottle of massage oil thrust it in his general direction "This'll do".
I followed him to the counter to pay for my oil, the transaction seemed to take forever...all the while he's trying to smooth his hair and leer at me in what he obviously believes is a not noticable way. He doesn't stop talking, paying me compliments and asking not so subtle questions about my marital status.
As I'm about to leave the shop he say's "Did you want a vibrator today, we have a good special on vibrators this week?"
"No"
Just like that. He could have been saying "Would you like fries with that?"
When will the owners of these stores start hiring women? This is not the first time I've had bad moments purchasing from adult stores. Do any of the other women have the same problem?
