So here I am, on a Saturday night, new to town. Had a date with an old childhood friend who unforunately was held really late at work so postponed our date (thursday).

And in the mean time, as they say, i look hot and no one is at my doorstep to wine and dine me.

So I'm going to whine here while eating mac'n'cheese.

Anyone care to join me?

I've been all undressed with no one to appreciate it all week.

Mac-n-cheese sounds like a great comfort meal. What kind of chocolate is for dessert?

but as i am falling asleep due to sheer exhaustion i don't think i would make very good company so i will leave the goodies for you :)

I have jello pudding cups

and half a bag of reese's pieces

and that's al the chocolate i allowed myself.

The only chocolate i have in my house is hot chocolate mix and i haven't had any of it in months. But sometimes, a piece of good chocolate is the only thing that will satisfy.

if there is no chocolate at hand, i will often crave... cheese, yes folks, i said cheese.

I LOVE CHEESE

you know those little cubes of cheese on platters at parties? I'm the snitch that snitches all of those.

Once at a Mexican restaurant, I mixed up some queso dip with a hot chocolate butter creme sauce that had come on some ice creamy dessert. The resulting concoction was so tasty I almost forgot the ice cream... in fact, I almost forgot to use the spoon.

Oh, Blue, sorry to hear you're stranded for the evening. Maybe you should raid your closet for a rousing game of dress-up aided solely by the camera held at arm's length. I'm sure you'd have a wide audience for the results!

It could be worse. Hubby and i went out to celebrate my birthday on New Year's Day (a little early, but that's all right) and everything closed at 6. EVERYthing. Even the bookstore that's usually open til 11.

Sorry

to hear about your predicament Blue, that can't be fun, but Mac and Cheese does sound like a good comfort food. I hope things work out better for you tomorrow. But don't feel bad, its Saturday night, and I was supposed to go out with friends and my little one is sick, so she is with me instead of her daddy, so I am just playing on the puter and seeing how many other people are without plans on a Saturday night :)

Sorry to hear you are all on your own, but sometimes anticipation makes it better. Hope you enjoyed your mac and cheese... cheese is one of my comfort foods too.

Lol... I actually thought about that. But decided my roommate might be weirded out by all the flashes in my room. there's a window above the door - old house. I think I'll wait a few more weeks before I weird her out. But I did look good.

And besides, my closet, because I could only move half my stuff here one weekend, is full with only a few slouchy things and mostly my work wardrobe. You think people would want to see architect addy?

You seem like the creative type: I'm sure you could manage something photo-worthy with just your work clothes! (A well-chosen, liberally unbuttoned selection, that is!)

I hear you on the doors with the windows above them: I used to live in an old office building with some friends of mine (and their bazillion kids) -- after only a week, I decided to mat a poster on some thick cardboard and mount it permanently over that stupid window. I don't need to see the hall light, and they sure don't need to see mine!

Anyway, now that your dolled-up night of mac and cheese is over, how're things? Improved?

Well I'm dolled up again. But this time for work. My first day at my first job in the profession. I'm not scared but I will definitely admit to being a little nervous.

I got my outfit all picked out. Even was choosy about the earrings I selected. Now Ijust have to finish putting my clothes on. Lol.

Wish me luck.

PS. I wish it would stop raining!

Best of luck on the new job! I hope you wore something that was a little sexy! Even if no one else can see it.

Do hot pink panties count?

But it would have been more fun if there were NO panties  IMHO.... well, there is always tomorrow...
