Alkahest Academy
Loosely based on FMA.
(Very, very loosely. Just a basic understanding of the series would be enough to get into this thread.)
Please see OOC thread for char's and to sign up your own. Please do not post unless I've ok'ed your char!! We're looking for more students, both with good intentions and bad, as well as professors and a Dark Alchemest (Basically, a bad ass bad dude. See OOC for more on him). If you're interested in that char, please PM me first.
"Nothing Surpasses the Law of Equivalent Exchange."
The plaque was a reminder to all the students, not only those new to the academy, but those who still resided in its walls. Nothing could be given without a trade of equal worth.
Alkahest Academy was meant to show those with a talent in alchemy that this was not just a light suggestion... but something that was to be heeded. Training allowed all the budding alchemists to learn how to control their talent, as well as how to obey this law. Most of the students of Alkahest were there with good intentions... but there were still rumors of those with ill intent walking the halls.
Vi Hartwell had stayed on campus for spring break. It seemed funny, that the academy took a few months off for the students to relax... But she saw the point in it. It was hard to be set on the studies all the time. She herself snuck offsite to go to the coffeeshop quite often, but found that a number of other students did the same thing. Curfew wasn't exactly a cemented rule in this place.
She had just finished cleaning up her dorm room, a small space that most seemed surprised to find the daughter of a former professor in. There were far bigger rooms for those with money- but Vi didn't want to be seen as anyone special. She had attention enough for the disappearance of her father. She changed her clothes from her night pants and tank to her usual deep purple jacket and pink skirt, then tugged on her high black boots. Classes weren't set to start for another day, but she was eager to see who else was coming in.
