Earth as it was once known had been diminished into post civilization. Wars, starvation, emissions and disease had all but claimed what once was leaving people to struggle with little skill and know how.
The future was suddenly the past but without the innovation or know how. Aliens came to the rescue helping to set up villages that could run independently of each other. In return once a year they humans would pay tribute to their saviors by offering one of their virgin fertile women to be taken away.
People speculated on what happened to them. But they were so gracious for all they had been given, a second chance on life, they considered a small price to pay and that the women should be honored to be chosen.
This was Cali's third year in being in the lottery. Now just 18, she had been chosen as one of the ten that would be offered up to the aliens as a potential candidate.
Instead of feeling honored as they told her she must, she was terrified. She was unsure of what the future held if she was chosen. On the other hand if she was chosen she wouldn't have to worry about her family. They would be compensated and their position elevated in the new society.
The morning of the festival she was led into a lavender bath and pampered with the other girls. Their hair, and nails done for them, and placed into a pretty white virginal gown.
Her hair was a firey red with eyes as green as emeralds, her 36d breasts stretched against the material. Her waist was small and hips wide had her told before she would have little problems when she had children of her own.
The commencement music played as the girls one by one slowly walked up the stairs to the stage for presentation to their visitors. Green lights surrounded all of their bodies as if scanning them.
Before she could blink she found herself in a white room. No longer were her friends and family staring up from the crowd. It dawned on her, she had been chosen and her new life was about to begin.
