It was a real shock when it landed.
I mean, everybody knows that aliens use flying saucers, or those Star Trek-shaped thingies, but a blimp? Come on!

I was out back weeding the garden after work before the sun set when there was a large twinkle behind my lot, down in the bayou. It was kind of weird looking, all different colors, so I got up and walked out my gate and down the slope a bit to see if maybe something had washed up from the last rain.
I got down there but there was nothing to see. Hmmm. I turned a bit and stepped to my left, and hit something square in the face. Whump! But... there was nothing there. Man, I felt like an idiot, though my nose hurt real enough.
Suddenly, there was a kind of dimming, like lights going out at a party, and right before me there she was. This kind of blimp looking thing, about the size of my Honda hatchback, sitting there at the edge of the bayou. It was mostly black with some lights, smooth and metalic. How could I have possibly missed that before, and what happened to the dark?
I started to get real excited and run back to the house to tell my wife, but a hatch opening out towards me, and I couldn't help but look inside. That was a real mistake. Some robot arms shot out, I felt a strong shock like when you touch a live wire, and then I was on the ground kind of shivering, unable to move. Those arms reached out and grabbed me around the legs, dragging me inside. The hatch closed, and it was as pitch dark as I could imagine. Then I passed out.
