Alerts up the Ying-Yang

I have all alerts turned off and get emails from watched threads, threads I've participated in, etc. My settings look correct.

try turning them on and save changes then go back and turn them off and save changes, see if that helps

or, like they always say "have you tried turning it off and on again?" but backwards
