Ok, so let's talk poetry instead of that bickering over at you-know-where.

How much of an alchemist are you? Can you turn lead into gold, water into wine, bust bunnies into playboy bunnies?

Here's the challenge: Take a mundane, boring object, and find a perspective to it that makes it the best thing since sliced bread and tantric orgasms. Present as a poem. Any shape and form, but the shorter the better.

Fermentation

Bottle of Wine~

Cylinder of smooth glass
alluring touch, held
an explosion of emotions
when opened and savored

Enjoyable moments
lifting the soul
from, liquid 'red' gold

Thoughts rarely given
to the fermentation
the wrath of grape vines
or the producer's time

to breath the bouquet
of an inprisoned fluid
allowing thoughts to flow,
freely

That which takes years
to appear
releases fears
to ride a drunken spear

to taste
the shape of,
a bottle of wine

(good idea Liar)

Apocalypse

Jostling revelations
through native tongue,
biting blades
of Remmington reverence,
I have become
a genetic abnormality,
mutant shackled to
when the bell tolls...

Not "all" things are big in Texas

It’s tall, dark, mysterious
Ok, so not all that tall,
It has my number on it,
though.

To compare, I am certain
would be such a travesty
since it was miniature,
but I have never laughed … well …
once.

It was so utterly SMALL!
Tiniest thing you ever
put your little finger’s on
I couldn’t see. No foolin’!
That small Texas Instrument
calculator.

So, it was my best shot off the cuff. :D

Off the Cufflinks

A hard nubbin
twisted in my fingers
pushed and tugged
on that golden chain
binding the split

at the cuff
of his shirt.
