Talented on multiple levels.

Man, 2016 has been a bitch.

Fortunately, in 2017, people will still die but we just won't have you to tell us about it. :)

Shit!

Died of a heart attack while playing hockey with his son.

Alan Thicke was born Alan Willis Jeffery March 1, 1947 in Kirkland Lake in Ontario, Canada. He began his career as a writer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and was successful as a daytime talk show host with "The Alan Thicke Show" in Canada before playing Jason Seaver on the sitcom "Growing Pains," which ran from 1985 to 1992.

In additon to creating the theme song for "Growing Pains," Thicke also composed the theme songs for "Wheel of Fortune," "The Facts of Life" and Diff’rent Strokes."

I did not realize for years that Robin Thicke was his son. Don't listen to Robin's music. Guess his old man was were he got his musical abilities from.

RIP

My first hockey game was at the Forum- Wings @ Kings. It's why I'm a Wings fan.

Oh, I had dinner in the Forum Club with Alan Thicke during the game. He was a HUGE Kings honk.

RIP Mr. Seaver.

"Season 2 Fuller House looking good. I even like the ones I’m not in!"

- Alan Thicke, 2:18pm today

I mostly watched Growing Pains to watch Tracy Gold. We were the same age and I had the biggest crush on Carol, until she started dating the football player and all that. Nerdy, adorable Carol of the first couple of seasons, OMG.

That said, the show had that special magic. Mike, Ben, and the dad, the whole show was one of the best. The mom was kind of the weak link but still not too bad.

Next to Moonlighting, it was one of the best shows of the mid-80s. I stopped watching the last couple of seasons when they kept adding more kids, but the first few years were amazing.
