Israel is an occupier of areas not part of the official state.

They 'govern' those areas differently than their official areas.

They took those areas by force and have refused to give them up despite multiple UN resolutions.

OK, let's break it down.

Israel is NOT occupying any so called Palestinian territory. The territories they're occupying are Egyptian, Jordanian, and Syrian respectively. What territory the so called Palestinians claim the Israelis are occupying is virtually all of Israel. How is that issue resolved with a 'two state solution?'

A case could tacitly be made re. apartheid with regard to the West Bank. Technically those peoples are Jordanians but Jordan doesn't want them. Gaza was self-contained, there was no occupation after 2006. They had a port and they had borders. They were also self-governing. Technically they are Egyptians but the Egyptians don't want them either. I've heard Gaza referred to as an outdoor prison but that argument could be made concerning ANY nation that secures it's borders. To an extent the US qualifies for that definition. The point here is that the peoples of the Gaza did have the opportunity to build a functioning nation, they didn't.

When the Israeli's pulled out of Gaza in 2006 they uprooted and expelled all of the Israeli squatters that had set up in the territory leaving all of the infrastructure behind. There was a multi-million dollar greenhouse complex left behind, intact. The peoples of Gaza immediately tore it down because of the 'taint' of the Jews. They also began tearing up the water distribution system to use the pipe to make rockets. That is a self-destructive mind set.

Going back to the first paragraph, how does a two state solution work when the only acceptable solution is one state with no Jews?

I don’t get SOME people.

Do SOME people actually believe that Israeli state policies towards Arab Muslims were not the result / product of a response to Arab Muslim aggression and hostility???

The situation in Israel / "Palestine" isn’t "good" for ANYONE for obvious reasons. Anyone who claims it’s all Israel’s fault or ignores the Arab Muslim’s contribution to the current state of affairs is worthy of the anti-Semitic label.

JFC

SAD!!!

One thing this war has shown...is many of my fellow Democrats really are no different than the Magats. Both are scum

Damn that’s some hardcore Israel Fanboy rationalizing!

Just to mix in some sanity and reality, I’d like to point out that nations secure their own borders. Gaza’s borders are secured for it by the same people who turn off their water, power, food supplies, and medical aid… whenever they choose.
Maybe the Gazians should have invested in infrastructure rather than rockets, AK's, and the likes..............ya think?

Meanwhile the Hamas top dog is living the high life over Qatar off of the billions he's pillaged from the people of Gaza. It's hard for me to muster a great deal of sympathy for them.

"Semitic people or Semites is an obsolete term for an ethnic, cultural or racial group associated with people of the Middle East, including Arabs, Jews, Akkadians, and Phoenicians. "

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semitic_people

Given the base historic definition and discarding later bastardizations of the term and looking at his current his abject hate for Arabs, wouldn't 'Yahu be considered 'anti-semitic'?

'Yahu is basically Israel's Donny. Hateful, violent, mean, self-centered ....

Close-minded...unwilling...dishonest...manipulative

I used to think Jews were more humane because of their history. I was wrong.

Why is it so hard for you to just say, “yeah that was stupid”?

One of the basic requirements for discussing serious topics is being accountable for your own words and ideas. Give it a try!
I've expressed my opinion and it's unlikely that it will change.

Now you can stand up to your words, basically accusing me of being a shill for Israel. The Israeli's aren't without blame in all of this but there is one thing they aren't doing. They aren't building a death cult, and that is exactly what Hamas and their followers are, death cultists. They indoctrinate their children from the time they can walk and talk. They think nothing of murdering their own citizens if they feel it advances their goals. Then there is the horrendous acts they engage in while murdering the people that they are taught to sacrifice their own lives to kill.

At the least the Jews exhibit humanity, you can't say the same about Hamas and its followers.

The way the term "anti-Semitic" is commonly used and understood is actually a pretty good analogy for the attitude of Jews toward Arabs. Jews make up about 3% of all the Semites in the world... but somehow they appropriated the term and convinced a lot of people that it is exclusive to them.
I left that part of the Wiki out since it was complicated and I didn't want to quote the whole progression. But if you read it, you'll see it was a German journalist in 1879 that coined the phrase that way. There has been a lot of effort to stop using it.

“Antisemitic” was invented by Europeans in the 19th century to make hating Jews sound scientific. The word has meant hating Jews ever since.

Honestly, nobody needs to use the word if they don't like it. The dispute over it truly is just a deflection from the reason it's being used so much. The same goes for Islamophobia.

Hatred of a group of people...bigotry......racism...whatever....it's shit no matter how you frame or what you call it.

Hard to invest in "infrastructure" when the Israeli blockade prevents the importation of concrete, wouldn't you agree?
