AI deepfake scams, breaches, hacks and company responses

In my experience, a victim is typically provided with at least: 1) an official statement that an event occurred through mail and/or email and 2) no-cost identity protection services (for 1 year, 2 years, 10 years...). I'm honestly wondering if this is enough and the general opinion on how sophisticated, exactly, these are.

Eventually, if not already, everyone's private data will be stolen and used by those who have zero moral code but get outraged if anyone discovers them doing nefarious things to others.
