I was just reading there could be 300,000 Russian deaths since Putin launched his war against Ukraine. Some estimates as high as 450,000. How are young Russian men signing up for Putin's war?

We couldn't stomach 50K deaths in Vietnam. It changed an entire generation. I understand how a communist government can send their young men to useless slaughter, but not a free nation.

I remember when Pelosi and Reid rode fabricated outrage to win the Senate and the House by proclaiming that a legitimate, needed and valuable program was designed to "spy on Americans" which, of course, it wasn't. Ironically, it was built to preserve Americans. There was a book written long after the fact that detailed almost every aspect of it and clearly demonstrated that it scrupulously followed the law in every aspect and in fact did protect Americans with nothing related to "spying on Americans". It's akin to Harry Reid telling everyone that Mitt Romney didn't pay his taxes, then after the election, when confronted about the lack of any factual basis, he responded with a smirk "it worked, didn't it?"
