I hear the rumblings of a storm brewing...is there anything better! *sighhhhhh* :)

having someone to share it with, looking out a window to see the lightning... at a window facing the wind, letting the rain fall agaisnt it.... a fire in the corner, your lover in your arms...

*sigh*

Running out in the warm summer air, twirling around in the rain, clothes slicking to your body as the rain pours down...

Fun stuff.

:)

Having the home insurance paid up.:)

Standing on the porch feeling the wind on your face as the storm gathers strength...soft rain splashing your face as the wind changes it's direction...the dark purple sky ablaze with each thunderess crack...

the thought of freedom if we could ride that storm...

She wore a 'terra-cotta' dress,
And we stayed, because of the pelting storm,
Within the hansom's dry recess,
Though the horse had stopped; yea, motionless
We sat on, snug and warm.

Then the downpour ceased, to my sharp sad pain,
And the glass that had screened our forms before
Flew up, and out she sprang to her door:
I should have kissed her if the rain
Had lasted a minute more.

— Thomas Hardy (1840-1928)

I used to hate storms......until a few weeks ago. He made me feel the power of love, lust, and erotic passions during one. Took me to places Ive not known before.

Now......every time it storms, I think of him and how "electric" he and I would be together.

All those negative ions bouncing around.

I love feeling safe within an embrace during thunderstorms. There is that feeling of safe isolation within the indoors, natural darkness falling, snuggled up.

Yum.

Years ago I had a tape playing really loud on my stereo. I lived outside a very small farming town in norh central Illinois, anyway I was playing a little known album (at least to me) called "Venus Flight". I just searched Morpheus and downloaded "Rasputin" and "Venus Flight" by Boney M.

Anyway, with this heavy, drum driven beat, I walked into the back yard and was mesmerized by the lightening show keeping perfect beat with the music, or was the music playing to "Nature"?

Yes, I love really violent, massive thunderstorms. As long as I don't have to fly through them, or suffer their consequences!

Rhumb:cool:
