The wife and I finished our dinner and decided to take a stroll around the park to check out the decorations. I pulled on a shirt and off e went. It was nice, it was calm and it was dark.
The stroll was disapointing in that only maybe 12 places out of 140 had put up lights this year. (Last year at least half of them had lights up.)
We had made it half way around the park and viola, it started to rain. A nice soaking type of rain, one hard enough to put out my cigar. We were soaked within minutes. Oh well no use in running towards home, you can only get so wet before it just doesn't matter.
When we got home we changed into dry clothing, grabbed a couple of beers and opened our gifts. Yeah I know it's only Christmas Eve but we have to work tomorrow and won't be getting home until at least 2030.
We didn't get much for each other this year. My wife got me a couple of pairs of new Scrub Pants to replace some of mine that are getting worn. These are good ones though, they not only have the multiple pockets I want and need they even have Belt Loops. For my wife I picked up the womens version of the ring she got me for our anniversary, a nice little necklace and something she's been wanting/needing for a while. A new Stethescope.
