AH Fantasies Disaster: Zade, you go home with NOTHING

I fucked up the title, and I tried to go back and change it, then I fucked up even more and had to PM Laurel....

It was going good - I was on an unprecedented (for me) score of 5.00...

Now I've lost all my PCs and votes and my story doesn't even appear in the chart.

I've been feeling weepy all day, and this is just the icing on the cake

That's weird. Changing the title or doing an edit shouldn't have swept the pcs or score. *hugs* Apparently, she totally deleted the first story instead of just replacing it. I'm sorry Zade.

It's because she deleted the first one instead of simply replacing it with the edited version.

Chapter 2 says Fantasy instead of Fantasies, but I'm not going to say anything. I think Laurel's probably tired of dealing with it, lol.

Any time I send in an edit, I put a detailed list of what I'm changing in the moderator "notes" section, just to make sure that it all goes through as expected.

Just drop a note in the AH Fantasies thread when it gets reposted, and I'm sure everybody will go back and put those votes back in there for you

yes, she did delete the original then, because that means the story has a different numerical designation. Even Laurel has bad days, sometimes, evidently.

Sure, I hate when stuff like this happens, plus I feel kinda bad because my own story got bumped up to the top spot in your place. Apparantly a vote of 4 got deleted for whatever reason, and I received another vote of 5 from someone else. That bumped me to the top, but as far as I'm concerned it's not my spot to keep. I'm just going to keep it warm for you.

Don't forget, it seems there's a minimum amount of time you have to spend on each page for the vote to be legitimate. If you've already read, and just go back to vote, the myopic Lit Hoover will probably just suck your vote up in the next sweep -- and everything will be right back to square one.

So linger on each page for a while before clicking to the next ( including the last one )
