Hey all,

Many years ago I stumbled across this mind control/Fetish story on here by Willcope.

I liked it for the peeing fetish element, so enjoyed the first half, and have revisited it several times over the years, but the second half of the story went into the incestual lesbian, pussy shaving, scat and various other elements I didn't like it.

I have spent some time rewriting it into the way that I like. But sadly that means drinking alcohol and smoking. Well why else would everyone keep peeing everywhere if they were not drinking lots!

So creates another perverse to many environment. Which many would not enjoy.

I tried posting it here, but quite rightly it got sent back. As I didnt have permission from the original author.

I have reached out to Willcope via the feedback option on the story to see if I could post it. But as it was their last story 10 years ago, I dont hold out much luck for a response.

So the question to the board sitters is, should I totally rewrite it so it bares no obvious similarity to the original, or just wait and see if I get permission to post it?

Use it as inspiration for your own story. I suspect you will find that more fulfilling than simply rewriting it.

Write a new story, with new characters. There's nothing wrong with being inspired by someone's story and using plot ideas from someone else's story as long as you rewrite it with new characters, some twists of your own, and your own words. As Melissa said, it's much more satisfying this way, too. As the author you have total control over the story and are not bound in any way by what another author has written.

Rewrite it to suite yourself. You can use the same plot / storyline, just write it in your own words. Nothing wrong with that and you avoid the problem.

A couple of my stories orginated from other stories I read on Literotica, and thought, well, I'd like to write something like that. It's actually rather fun coming up with your own version.

Rewrite it, and take it away from the original story. Copying someone else runs close to plagiarism, being inspired by someone else is different kettle of fish entirely. As we often say here, write your own stories, not someone else's. Go for it :).

Cool beans, I will spend some time re-writing it again :)

Thanks all

Well I will see how Enid Kirkwoods academy gets on the coming weeks!

I've made changes and attempted to post it again.

Lets see what happens, thanks for the feedback peeps!

Nope rejected as a "rough rewrite"...
Harrumph the original was 5k my version is 18k words...not sure how its a rough rewrite, but hey ho.

Will have consign that one to the bin for now.

Do I try for a fourth time?

I've renamed the characters edited the hell out of it.

I can't see how it can be called a "rough rewrite".

It's an awful story to begin with that floats my twisted boat.

I think I've improved it a little.

Do I resubmit again or just leave it on my hard drive. Not sure I can cope with the rejection again!

Jaws has been compared to Moby Dick more than once.

Symbolism of Jaws

I haven't read that whole thing yet - but Quint is Ahab, Brody is like Ishmael, and Hooper - Starbuck maybe? Melville definitely isn't around to make any complaints.

I was inspired to write a story about a writer talking to his characters (Getting Too Close - 750 Word Project). I posted my story (which was very different from the one which inspired me). But I still included an "Author's Note: inspired by another author's story ('oneagainst') "Critical Response", and another author who once wrote on a Forum about writers getting too close to our characters."

Maybe giving such credit to the original story could get yours accepted.

I read a story not long ago that I thought was exceptionally good for a first submission. It was submitted twenty years ago and was labelled as Ch.01 but nothing followed. Which may be for any number of reasons.

I intend to write a series with different characters etc. The idea behind the first chapter will still be there but with my words so it’s inspiration not plagiarism.

I will say, in the foreword, that the series has been inspired by **** written by ****. To me that the only decent thing to do.

Well, I have submitted it again.

Lets see. The original story is 5k this is nearly 20k in words. So it can't be classed as repeating the story word for word.

Thanks for the positivity. Even if it tanks in the ratings.

I'm not looking hopeful. Think it will be rejected again.

Hey ho.

Well those following this...its been published.

https://literotica.com/s/miss-enid-kirkwood-s-academy

Yes its bizarre, yes its twisted, yes it would never really happen. But the original was just as twisted and floated my boat. So I rewrote it for my pleasure.
There maybe others that enjoy it, or probably not!

If anyone has read the original:-

And would like compare and contrast, i would of course appreciate it!

They are both weird, disgusting and need your eyes adjusting afterwards!

Thanks again

I wonder how they figured out who this Willcope person is after "many" years.

I have also now submitted my part 2 for this story. Let's see how long it takes to be published!
