What I've found in comments - "A "landmark" study following a whopping 255 patients and published in a non peer-reviewed source... totally groundbreaking..."

Will attempt to locate this "study"...so far, not one source that talks about it has actually provided a link to the study.

Not to mention that as usual Trumpians think the US is the only place on earth. If HQC cured covid, or at least lessened the death rate, how come no one globally is using it? India is being ravaged by the disease as is Brazil, if it was a miracle cure how come they aren't using it? Is that the 'left wing'? But wait......I found a study that is actually peer reviewed and accessible from March of this year saying the exact opposite.....it's almost as if the conclusion reached by health professionals - that HCQ risk/reward isn't worthy of prescription - was valid and that Trumpies don't care about anything but validating their lord and savior.....

It was published in a peer reviewed Journal, which means the results of the study, the data , were farmed out to scientists who reviewed the data and said the conclusions matched the data...and Gates has no control over those scientists or that journal, when stuff is reviewed it is by people nowhere near the original research team.

This isn't Rand Paul "HQC is an effective cure for Covid" along with Dr. Phil and Mahmet Oz (how that quack still is teaching at Columbia Presbytyrian I don't know, they all should lose their medical licenses for making statements they have no authoritty to make.

Yeah, there was a doctor at Henry Ford medical systems who claimed HQC worked, and when they looked at his background he stood to make money if it was approved as a treatment.

Not to mention studies in Sweden (where they are more strict than the US, and desperate to find a cure), UK, Germany and the rest of the western World said didn't work. On the other hand Russian disinformation is paying scads of money to disinformation campaigns, and last year one of the big ones was "HQC is a cure, it is a miracle cure" kind of thing, paying idiot "influencers" to say that.

You've got to laugh, One doctor observes people being given doses of an unproven drug. He accepts that this is an observational study with no randomisation and no control group and he comes out with a denial of all the proper clinical studies. I guess he got his fifteen minutes of fame.

What's even more laughable is that other latch on to this in the hope that it shows their hero is really the genius he claimed to be. The strange thing is when the hero got the disease the first thing he had was the treatment that the real studies had shown to work.
