Afterglow -Thank you KatPurrs & Risia Skye

Recently I received two very flattering (three actually) feedback emails regarding my "single" poem Afterglow. I am responding here to KATPURRS and RISIA SKYE. Though you sent me anonymous emails, not leaving me with your actual email that I could respond to, at least you left your (names?).

Anyway...I thought I would "publicly" THANK YOU here then instead. I really did appreciate the critique, (Yes Risia, it does have some "flaws" but I was "excited" when I first wrote it...(lol) so I'm not surprised.

I have written well over a hundred poems or more throughout my life, though having only submitted the one single poem here as most of my poetry was non-erotic. I think that writing poetry to begin with was the catalyst for eventually becoming a "Story Teller."

As I don't consider myself a "writer"....(and some of you might agree with that...lol) I feel a "writer" knows his stuff, grammer, spelling, punctuation...all the tools. And in that, I confess I make some stupid mistakes. So....I call myself more of a story teller at the moment, and in that light, hope that people enjoy reading the stories I tell....rather than my skills as a "writer" at the moment.

I can still recall the very first poem I wrote back in the 8th grade, which I now fondly look back on and thank my English teacher back then for getting me interested in poetry to begin with...and later (much later) story telling.

And in case your interested....here's my very first poem ever, and obviously it reflects my age at that time. But here it is:

TIME

Time is the ringing of a clock chime.
Time is the unlocking of a mysterious rhyme.
Time is the future, the present, the past.
Time is the one thing that forever will last.

Ok it's short sweet and simple. But then....so was I.

LOL.......

Hello there...

Not a problem. I don't do it often, but when I send it, I mean it. Everyone, check out the poem "Afterglow." Very impressive.

sandman, I've got one of those 4 line grammar school thingies myself. I wrote it in kindergarten, and my mom kept it until it was nearly in tatters, then pasted it in a scrapbook I still have. The older I get, the more simultaneously embarassing and nostalgic it gets. Which is why I love it.

Email and such link here, so feel free to get in touch.

Take care,
Risia

Your Beautiful Poem

Hi Sandman,
Do I know a good poem when I see it, or what?
Afterglow is presently in the #1 spot and rightly so. Do keep them coming because I seldom read stories......a dyed in the wool poetry lover here.

I find it amusing that this "mutual admiration society" consisting of you, me and Risia Skye (hi Risia, love your work!) hold 5 out of the top 6 poems as I write.

Afterglow really touched me. Love it when that happens! And thanks be to you for that!

KatPurrs@literotica.com or is it .org? :)

In your honors - Katpurrs & Risia Skye

Ok...it's been a while for me now. Haven't written a poem for quite a while. But I have to admit...the thought of writing something erotic for the both of you was something I wanted to try doing.

Hopefully it will post soon. Look for "The Encounter"

I had fun with it......imagine yourselves for me ok?

The Encounter

Oh God Sandman!

hhhhh......."pressing deep and holding still"
You are a God! You do know your subject matter!
Was it as good for you as it was for me?

I loved the format of the time passing. It teased me so as the minutes passed! Now isn't poetry more fun to write than stories? Don't you ever stop!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr me-ow!

Ah....what can I say. <wink>

And yes....it was.

I'm ok, I'm ok now

whew....kinda lost it there for a while.
Love it when that happens.

For those who "may" be interested....

Ok.....you've gotten the "erotic" juices flowing....

I have written both a story...and now a poem today. So hopefully it will post on sight soon.

Look for: "Going up"

Once again Katpurrrs.....<wink>

Hiya KatPurrs. I like your work too...isn't it funny? I rarely get around to sending feedback, but it just figures that we're all reading and admiring each other's stuff.

Now, I'm off to check out this new poem I'm hearing about....
I feel a new story in the future "A Dream for the Sandman". Look for it in a week or two.
