It was The Face that launched a thousand ships, the ill fated love story, a story of betrayal, the stuff that legends are made of., spawns heroes, Hector, Achilles, and Odysseus, not to mention the great wooden horse, the Trojan Horse. After years of war countless deaths, heroes fallen in battle, the city finally taken by stealth rather than by force and to what end? Bloody revenge, looting, blood letting rape and pillage those things that the legends do not dwell on.
This is a story of Mighty Troy after its fall, a story of one of her daughters, the story of one of Greece’s sons. So in the flickering light of burning Troy amidst of it weeping daughters our tale begins.
Nickos the Theban had fought the hole long war, he was there when Achilles fell before the city, he had lane in the belly of The Great Wooden Horse, open the gates that laid low mighty Troy. He had been a callow youth at the beginning of it all, now he was a scared old veteran, he bore his scares with honor, yet now his stomach churned at the piteous cries of Troy’s daughters at their rape. He turned a corner to see four Spartans closing in on a slip of a girl.
