Advice on finding Local BDSM clubs & groups

I have always been interested and turned on by bdsm and want to learn more. My husband is open to it also but agrees we need to learn more and discuss with others so we don't hurt one another. Can anyone give advice on where to find local groups and/or clubs. I've tried googling and it seems to take me down the rabbit hole with no good advice.

I find that fetlife events page has local Munchs and events. It’s weeding through to find what you want.

Including the word ”munch” might get you better results. Fetlife is another way.

A munch is usually a meeting at a restaurant focused on meeting other people with similar interests in a non-sexual setting.
Some places have special meetings for welcoming new people and some have different meetings depending on age groups for example.

There should be a way to contact someone, so you can talk to them ahead of time about what to expect and that way you get someone who knows you are coming and can help make introductions easier. You can also get a bit of feel for what kind of place it is, both through the person you talk to, the home page etc.

Some places have demos and workshops on their shedule, so you can see if they offer the kind of stuff you’ll need.

Get a FetLife profile. Their event calendars are well stick with munches and club meetings.

I have to agree with the FetLife advice.
What I did in the past, was find a local munch, advertised, message a few of the participants.
And then attend to get the “vibe”.
