Advice on changing my lit' author name

[Lying Eyes]

I want to change my literotica name now that I have written something and ocasionaly post.

slicknhb does not fit me (I'm more shy then slick anyway) and as an author's name I doubt it will entice any readers to take a look at my work.

Correct me if I am wrong but I cant technicaly change my Lit name and would instead have to register a new name. Then resubmit my two stories under the new name after deleting them under my old handle (which is a shame since I will lose some really nice and encouraging Public Feedback).

So far I have thought of these three as possiable replacements:

lustylick
lustyeyes
eagereyes

Any of these sound intresting? Any other sugestions? Just need something short that can be remembered easily.

tried once with Laurel - didn't work, I'm stuck with it and so are you unless you want to re-sign in as someone else it seems

I know someone who had it changed but it took months.

I like 'eagereyes', although it does sound a bit like 'eagleeyes'.

There's no law that says you can't have two active names. Weird Harold does just that. He posts as WH and uses something like Dirty Old Man for his stories. Og posted Earth Day contest stories under different names. You could keep slicknhh for your stories and use the new name for posting.

Doing something like that cuts down on folks getting PO'ed over something on a thread and rushing over to drop a one bomb on your stories.

Yes sounds doable, and I'd bet the stories could be deleted within a month. You could re-edit them

Alternatively, and somewhat like Rumple says. Just start over with a new identity for stories and postings. Let the old alone, and simply say, in you homepage and profile "see my first stories posted as 'slick...' That can be done immediately. Then at some point do the deletions and re-postings, of the better stuff. Let the rest gather dust.

I don't like 'eagereyes'; it reminds me of 'lonelyone'. Here's a factor: Do you want the screenname to sound masculine, feminine, or indeterminate. Some current ideas have a feminine sound to me.

The Litster I know had a mister in front of his name, it was taken off but like I said it took a long time. He didn't lose his postings either.

No advice on what name you should pick. As far as my names are concerned, after having registered as "BohemianEcstacy" and submitting my first story, I realized that my name was *gasp* misspelled. *casts eyes down in shame* So I created a new profile with the CORRECTLY spelled version which I use for all posts and will use for my next stories, hopefully, if I figure out how to link to my first story. :S I wish it weren't so complicated.

File this under 'for what it's worth' but I thought of another possible name. Being an old coot, the lyrics of an Eagles song came to mine, "You can't hide your LYING EYES." The nice thing about it is no one can be sure what type of LYING your eyes are working on.
