OOC Just an idea I was turning over in my head dealing with paramedics. I really am a paramedic and some of this is taken from real life experiences some made up. We work for an ambulance service with numerous one ambulance crews through out the city for 24hrs on and 48hrs off. The company prefers to keep the crews male/female for safety reasons and often a female might be needed when dealing with certain female patients or a male for violent patients. So you spend 24hrs with this person every third day which gives you plenty of time to get to know one another often develop feelings or desires. It also gives you plenty of alone time to act upon those feelings or desires.
Possible Roles-
I was thinking maybe a new fresh out of school female medic younger say about 25 that is not only a new medic but rather innocent as well.
A playboy medic that is nothing more than a player.
A recently married female medic that is also having feelings for her partner which is mutual and she is struggling with being faithful.
A easy going laid back medic with experience that is around 36 (my role) that has a reputation for not being a player until someone takes an interest in him.
A rude supervisor male or female that is used to bartering sexual favors for advancement.
The young paramedic student doing ride alongs male or female.
Various dispatchers that might come into play that could also ride along.
A married medic couple that is not allowed to ride together due to legal implications that have somewhat of a open relationship.
A bi-sexual female medic that takes an interest in the married female medic.
Any others that you would like to suggest is welcome and btw I need all the help I can get on this as I'm still a newbie. If this sounds like a bad idea let me know as I'm not afraid of rejection.

Beginnings

I walk into work promptly at 7am ready for another 24 hours of dealing with the sick, injured, drunk, and elderly. These will be the people I will serve for the next day and night and the same ones I have been serving for nearly 11 years now. I'm a paramedic and work for a private service that answers my city's 911 calls. We work 24 hour shifts with 48 hours of off time. Basically, working ten days a month. Today I will meet my new partner as my old partner got married and moved to another city. He had been my partner for almost two years and we worked really well together knowing what the other was going to do without actually saying it. EMS is filled with time spent waiting mixed with intense moments of stress and activity during which time a good partner is a must. One must understand that you spend a third of your time with this person all day every third day. You learn about them, their lives, their likes and dislikes. You know when they are fighting with spouse's, having trouble with kids or money, and you either get along or you don't. I'm easy going medic that has seen many rookies come and go through the years as the average career of a medic is only 5 years due to intense burn out. Drugs, divorce, sex, and alcohol abuse is rampant in the world of EMS and so far I have avoided these pit falls through the years though I feel I'm rapidly approaching burnout myself.
As I arrive in the crew quarters I look for my new partner wondering if this will be someone I can trust my life with?

OOC: sorry I didn't respond in right away...Alot of stuff had come up and I just didn't have the time. But now I am free.

IC:
Abguiel "Abby" Smith was 25 years old. I was a new medic. I was in the crew quaters making coffee. Today was the day I was being asigned a partner. The guy that was going to be my partner had lost his due to marriage, and moving. Once the coffee was done I poured it into a mug, added cream and sugar, and started to sip on it.
