I have been to several bookstores. My best friend and I visit them together. We have gone into a booth, however, I don't recall any gloryholes. Maybe there are none in TN. We are in hte bible belt I think. Anyway, I buy books, videos and toys from them. I was nervous the first couple of times but now it is no biggie.

I guess I've been fortunate enough living close enough to Canada where it seems a tad less seedy to go into adult bookstores. The people in the places that I've been there have always been young women. It always seems a tad bit more disarming and less awkward I guess. Besides they've always been very helpful and professional there. Buying toys for the significant other has never been a problem.
Besides it's always a good fun voyeuristic skip through the videos and magazines!

I know this might sound silly, but when it comes to buying toys, lotions and such, I now it's much much more comfortable to buy them online, but it would seem semi-logical to buy them in person and actually see them and feel them, wouldn't it??

I've been at that store in Las Vegas. Downstairs is the retail section. Very common to see ladies either alone or with others. However, upstairs in the arcade/theater is another story. We have quite a few adult toy stores here in town, most of them rather seedy, but there is one in a nice part of town. The shop is clean and bright, and you don't feel too weirded out going there.
