You all have those neat little pictures when ever you post. How do I get one of those? I don't mean the one's that are in the body of text or signature line.

Thanx

You're asking about our avatars -- like the furry troll under my name?

If that's correct, it takes 100 posts to enable the custom avatar option. (Lit does not offer any non-custom avatars)

Once you have 100 posts, find an image you like, resize it so that the largest dimension is 150 pixels and the filesize is less than 20480 bytes (20 KB) when converted to JPeg or GIF format.

Go to your userCP (top center of each BB page) and go to edit options to install it.

The picture under the name is an Avatar -- you need 100 posts to add one. When you have to posts, search this forum for "Avatar" to find out more.

Thanks Weird Harrold.

You troll is cute too!

My computer must have had a "senior moment" last night -- it showed this thread as having no replies until I posted the second answer. I wasn't intentionally being repetitious.

Dumb question #2: How do you add pictures to your signature?

This code isn't doing it for me:
Code:
[IMG][/IMG]

For those who haven't figured it out as you obviously have since you've got a picture in your signature now.

Almost anything in your signatureline has to be done with HTML code instead of the vB tags.

Images in signatures use the HTML syntax, <IMG SRC="*a url that returns an image*"> An attachement here at lit can be used with this syntax, unlike the IMG tags used inside a post.
