add a pic to a pm

can anyone tell me how to add a pic to a private message?
Does the pic have to be on the net?? or can i just add it from my pc?
And if it has to be on the net, where do i put it and how do i get it there with out anyone else being able to see it?

I think the only way to add a pic to a PM is to use the IMG tags. (weird harold will correct me if I'm wrong)

To get it on the net theres a lot of free homepage sites like geocities or lycos or angelfire. just dont post them there or they wont like it. But you can upload them there and link to them from here. If you have yahoo you can get a geocities site pretty easy under your same name.

Oh I just remembered; angelfire blocks links to pics from sites outside. So go with geocities/yahoo. I dunno about lycos.

And the IMG tag requires it be off the net, not from your PC.

As far as I know, there is no attach function for PMs. If the picture is on your PC, the best option is to exhange e-mail addresses (or sign up for Literotica.org e-mail addresses) and send the picture through regular e-mail.

You can link to a picture that's already on the web with the IMG tags, or just post the URL to the picture. Neither will keep the picture "private" if that's the intent of putting it in a PM.

the most popular "free" webspace sites such as tripod, geocities, lycos, angelfire, etc. do not allow "direct linking" i.e., you cannot link to a .jpg, .gif, etc. file from an outside site such as lit - most times the file will be accessible for a short time (minutes/hours) until their system detects it, then it will block the link - if you want to post the pic on one of those sites, you can put it on a webpage so that the file ends in .html in order to link to it - however, then like harold mentioned, the picture is not "private" - it's unlikely that anyone would come across it, but it could happen - the only real way to be "safe" is to "don't upload anything that you don't want the world to see"

On a previous user name I had a hotmail address in my literotica profile, I changed it to a literotica.org email, then could not post or use PM,s on literotica. What happened?

I mentioned the verification e-mail you should have gotten and replied to when you changed your e-mail on another thread.

I can only suggest you use the "contact us" link at the bottom of any BB page to ask Manu for help. Make sure you give both e-mails and explain as completely as possible what you did before you lost access to the account.
