I watched the news today during lunch. The fare was about where I expected things are headed.
I expected Kates baby to be the leading story. WRONG. We shipped a turtle to the Atlanta Zoo. The next story was even lighter in its loafers: August is School Supplies Tax Holiday for parents. Kate ranked 3rd.
The weather guy didn't wanna make a stab at where it might rain, because rain isn't equal opportunity and some folks are disadvantaged when they get no rain. He wants no part of their angst or complaints.
A few years ago t he Tampa Tribune fired all its male managers and editors, and replaced them with gals. The gals trashed the Op-Ed page replacing the national pundits with girls suffering from prom gown angst and college acceptance anxiety disorder, gay pride journals, and old women reporting reunions they had with military friends they knew in the 1960s. The papers owner fired all the gals.
