Walking down a trail in the forrest near their village. Tasha was lost in thought as she was trying to remember her parent's.

She stood about 5ft 4in and weighed, around 120lbs. She had long flaming red hair braided down to her waist. Her eyes a sea green with golden flex around them.

Tho she was a small woman her figure was curvy in all the right places. Unlike most of the women in the village. Tasha prefured men's Legging's to her pesant skirt's, and dress's.

Today she was dressed in a white pesent blouse, Green tunic, and legging's with brown thigh boot's. Belted at her waist she carried a small dagger.

Normaly she would carrie a bow, and arrow's with her incase she came across any game to hunt while she was out, but hadnt planned on hunting today.

Her brother's Tom, and Vence didnt talk about them much, after their parent's died leaving them to run the tavern, and raise their 2yr old baby sister, they just seemed to busy to talk about them.

Tom the eldest mainly seemed concerned with the tavern. While Vence, learned all he could about sword's ,and wepon's of all sort's. Off, and on just to tease Tom Vence would teach Tasha a few moves.

Tasha he would say Sence we can never keep you out of the forrest, you may as well learn how to hunt, and defend yourself. Which of corse this ushually amounted to an argument between Tom and Vence....

Tasha laughed thinking that nether vence nor Tom cared for her choice in clothing, but both agreed that it was more practiacal for her sence she wouldnt stay out of the woods.

Giving up on trying to remember what her parents looked like. She noticed that the sun was starting to set, and headed back twords the village at a run.

Tom was going to be mad a her for taking off again, and because she was so worried about being back she didnt hear the sound's of the Slaver's that had gathered around her until it was to late, and she was caught.

The slaver's were cat like people, not human but not cat ether.

They had her in chain's, as they neared the village she could see that it was in flame's. Men were being killed, women and children were being placed in chains to be sold.

When they neared the tavern She saw Tom laying on the ground. Tasha tryed to run to him, and was knocked down... when she hit the ground everything went black..........

The last few days had been hell for Andre Rebanicoff and his men as they followed the slavers trail out of the mountains. The cold had taken their toll on their supplies, and their energy.

Andre was an extremely large man, barrel chested with arms the size of most mens thighs. Luckily for most his heart was as big as he was, unless you crossed him, or his family.....and these slavers had crossed the line.

You could call them cat people if you liked, their faces were human except for their teeth, and ears. They walked upright like humans, but everything else about them was feline. The way they could see at night, and their propensity to land on their feet was truly astounding.

They had crossed the line when they had destroyed his home. They had crossed the line when they had killed the people in his village. He was going to make sure they never crossed the line again.

He could see them milling around the village as it went up in flames, he could see the cutting down innocent men and women, and putting others in chains. It would end here. Urging his horse forward, he pulled out his massive sword, and rode down towards the unsuspecting catmen.

"On Rebanicoff", he urged his men as a horn sounded off to his right.

The small group of men broke upon the surprised catmen, like a wave upon the shore. The first group of catmen went down like chaff before their swords.

Silvia sobbed as she watched through the splintered crack in the wooden door, the tears evaporating from her cheeks as soon as they trickled down from her eyes. The door was only thing that stood between her and the slavers that had cut down her entire family before her eyes. Unfortuntately, the house that she had so unluckly chosen to hide in was swiftly buring around her. Already, the searing heat against her fair skin was unbearable and she could smell her once beautiful lengths of blond hair crisping. Even her long skirts were browning and any moment she would be consumed by the hungry licking flames.

Her lithe form was wracked with harsh whooping coughs as she choked on the smoke. Giving herself up for dead, for death by fire seemed much more painful than by a slaver's sword, Silvia dashed out into the village attempting to put out her skirts.

She was suprised when she felt no blows and her eyes widened in amazment as she saw the catmen falling under the swords of a band of men.

Glancing around she recognized Tasha the tavernkeeper's sister, prostrate on the ground. Silvia had always admired the woman's bravery and skill. She herself had no training with weapons of any sort and hunting had been a skill reserved for her father.

Now she was glad that her mother had insisted on teaching her several remedies and poultices for the treatment of wounds.

Silvia dashed over to the red haired woman and kneeling beside the woman she carefully cradled her head in the blue fabric that covered her lap.

The petite blonde searched her memory for what her mother had taught her about head wounds, ignoring the insuing battle around her.

Myst

Most never saw her but she was always there, watching.. The slaver's had hit again, but this time was going to be different. Adjusting her cloak around her Myst headed for the smoke in the sky. Coming up over a hill and surveying the carnage of the small town.

Movement caught her attention as she watched the small girl run from the burning hut, to the prone woman in the street.. Noticing two of the cat men heading their way.. “Not this time fella’s...” Muttering under her breath.. Stepping out from the trees Myst raises her hands into the air and sings a song to the Lord’s and Ladies to bless her in this... Then lowering her hands to aim them at the two small figures in the middle of town.. One minute they were there the next they were gone.. At least that is what anyone looking would think..

*Smiling to herself at the strange looks on the cat men's faces*

Stepping back so as not to be seen, she watches the men fight and fall. One man gallant in his efforts catches her attention. As the cat men swarm him, hoping they have found easy prey... Again Myst raises her hands and in a sweet and clear voice asks for blessings again. This time watching as the gallant fighter seems to glow with a mysterious aura.

Silvia looked uo from tearing strips of bandage from the faded blue fabric of her skirt to see two particularily evil looking catmen headed their way. Her normally large blue eyes widened even more in alarm, making her already innocent and childlike face become even more so. She knew her young looks wouldn't save her, even at eighteen she looked fourteen, but the slavers spared no one. And she shuddered to think what they would do.

As the scream that was rising in the back of her throat worked its way to her lips, the catmen suddenly stopped, confused looks on their faces. Silvia glanced around to see what had halted them, to see no one. It was as if both women had disappeared from the slavers' sight.

Never in her life had young woman experienced such a thing, it was as if it was magic. Silvia shivered nervously, not quite liking what she couldn't comprehend.

The blonde shook her head firmly, now was no time to be thinking about such things. Tasha was still not responding and her head wound needed treatment.

Tasha

Tasha let out a groan slowly opening her eye's. She was still laying on the ground her hand's still in chain's, and Someone was holding her head in their lap.

Looking up she saw one of the young women from the village, she thought it was the healer's daugher Silvia, but it was hard to tell from all the soot that coverd her from head to toe.

Hearing the sound's of Battle around them, she tryed to sit up. Tho her head felt as if it had been split in two, She was determand to get free of the chain's, and join in the fray.

These Cat men had killed one brother, maybe two, and if she could help save what was left of the villager's she would.

Turning to Silvia she said. Quickly help me out of these chain's... and grab one of the sword's on the ground over there...i'll do my best to protect you but we need to help them, The two cat men in front of us seem not to see us at all. I know not why, but if we hurry they will be the first to taste the bite of my blade.

Silvia helped Tasha sit up, biting her lower lip softly, unsure of what to do. She looked around at the chaos, and sighed. There was no time to properly bandage Tasha's head.

"All right."

She finished wrapping strips of cloth around Tasha's head, and worked on helping her out of her chains. Once Tasha was freed, the blonde searched the ground around them until she located a sword lying abandoned and bloody on the ground only a few feet away. With a slight grimace she dragged the sword by the hilt and handed it to Tasha.

"Are you sure you are strong enough to do battle?"

Silvia looked at Tasha, her eyes wide with something akin to admiration flickering in their depths.

*The wave of catmen, scattered at first, surprised and unsure what they were facing. Soon they realized they had no choice, they must either fight in force, or be slaughtered one by one. With a fury unmatched by humans the catmen attacked anyone in their paths. *

The blood ran in streams down his sword as the next wave of catmen swept towards him. This battle must end soon, the catmen are many, and my strength begins to fade. Claws and sharp fangs are everywhere, tearing skin where it touches. Things become a blur, horses hoofs splattering catmen skulls, shield constantly moving, blocking smashing, sword spinning, slashing cutting. Catmen falling everywhere, but always more to take their place. Strength waning....catmen retreating? I feel strange what is happening?

Myst

"Fight gallant warrior, for it is your life and those around you that you fight for." Myst says softly as her last spell begins taking effect.

Stepping out once again, to call forth the Lord and Ladies blessing. Pulling a pinch of sulfur, releasing it to the wind. Taking her time, and concentrating on the largest group of cat men. Myst's hands raise to the heavens, then slowly bringing them to bare on the group. Speaking softly in her sing song voice, watching as several small balls of light shot from her fingertips.

Hitting many of the cat men but not near enough to help, she feared. There were to many of the cat men and her magic tho strong, was still very new.

Now she feared that she may have brought unwanted attention to herself as well. As cat men turned to look from where the balls had come from. Slipping quietly back into the undergrowth hoping that she had escaped their notice. But staying near so that she might help again shortly.

"Slavers..." Justin glared at the carnage from below, his bright crimson hair swayed in the bloody scent-stained wind. He brushed his hair a bit, hiding his blood red, and black tipped wolf ears. His yellow eyes watched in anger as Slavers continued to disgrace other Cat-like people with their disgraful actions. "... There nothing more but a bunch of slave drivers in disguise..."

Justin stood up from the tree branch he was sitting on and jumped down. He slowly pulled out his sword and bolted forward, torwards one stray Slaver. He instantly slashed at its throat, cutting it off and letting the spraying blood cover him, as if it was normal rain. "Weakling..."

Justin noticed screams from behind, this made him sharply turn and see two woman and 3 little children being battered like they were dogs who pissed on a expensive carpet. Justin's blood boiled and his yellow eyes gave a odd glow. He bore his wolf like fangs as he rushed in and stabbed one of the Slavers in their lower backs, then swung up and cut one in half in the torso area.

The last Slaver called out just before his life was ended by Justin's blade. Slavers who were already ocupyed by a mysterious force fending them off stoped and turned torwards Justin, who was licking the blood off his lips and spitting it out.

The Slavers growled and rushed torwards him, brandishing their wepons like mindless drones. "Idiots, only in it for blood, money, and sick pleasure." Just stabed his sword in the dirt and reached behind him, pulling out his bow, and a arrow that had an odd little ball on it. He looked behind him, at the people he just saved. "Cover your heads..."

Justin took aim at the Slavers, pulled back, and fired. The arrow pierced a building near the Slavers that was caught on fire. The embers lit the arrow, and as the Slavers passed by it, the black ball ignited and made a small explosion. The explosion was just big enough to kill the on comming Slavers.

"There's more comming, I can smell them... I don't have enough arrows to stop them..."

Tasha

There's no time to worrie about myself .. you can help buy tending to all of us wounded when were done with this battle. Stay near by so i can protect you, but stand clear of the fight.

Quickly taking the sword, nodding her thanks to Silvia she swiftly, and efficently took care of the two confused catmen. Silently thanking her brother for his lessions as she did so.

Keeping Silvia in sight she contiued to search for any other's who servived. Grabing the Key's off of one of the catmen laying on the ground, she tossed them to Silvia. Hurry!! Unlock their chain's, I've got your back. She said moving in to take down one of the catmen trying to stop her.

Having dispatched of them. She turned to see the cat men retreating from one of the men in battle, but threw the fray she could not see why. Suddenly there were little balls of light shooting at the catmen, about the size of a pllet ball from a slig shot.

Hearing a loud battle Cry Tasha thought ohhh no not more not now....... Turning to see who had made the Cry, She just barly ducked in time as a nother cat man came around the corner and took a swing at her.

Silvia watched Tasha cut down the two bewildered catmen, as the battle swirled on around her. There seemed to be more warriors now slashing down the catmen with fury. Silvia stood frozen for a moment, her heart beating rapidly in her chest. As Tasha tossed her the keys, she realized that she needed to have courage just like the red haired woman. Now was no time to be meek and cowardly. She caught the keys swiftly, nodding her ascent to Tasha's words.

The petite blonde rushed over to the first chained person she saw and immediately began to free them, placing her trust in Tasha. She was still frightened, but the prospect of helping the people whom she had known most of her life emboldened her.

Once she helped the woman to her feet, she moved on to the next group of people chained together. Silvia moved as quickly as possible, her hands shaking slightly as she turned the keys in the locks.

Justin swung his blade cutting down another Slaver, and kick another in the head with enough force to kill it. He looked back the others yelled for them to follow him closely. Another set of Slavers howled and ran after Justin. Not taking a risk, he shot another explosive arrow into another set of firen making it explod and destroying them.

This continued until Justin only had two more explosive arrows, and they arived at an openeing where there seemed to be many Slavers. "Damn disgraceful beast!" Justin slashed forward and cut down as many as he could. He had no remourse for them, they wanted nothing for others to suffer, so he would make them suffer insted. Justin signaled the escapes to keep moving as he arvied to a spot where many were being freed by two woman. "Follow them!"

Justin ran to aid the red-head who was being over whelmed by the increasing Slavers comming after her. Justin jumped up and knocked three to the ground and slashed at them. He then stood up, set up an regular arrow and shot down one Slaver that was prepairing to kill sneek up and kill the blond.

Myst

"A new player into our mists I see, welcome to this battle. Let us see if I might help you in your time of need great warrior." Myst says softly smiling to herself.

Stepping once again from the trees, her voice raising in praise to her Lord and Lady. Reaching into her pouch of wonders and pulling forth a small figurine. The shape was rough but would suit its purpose. Bowing her head in concentration, she blocks all other thoughts from her mind.

Setting the figure on a tree stump and stepping back. Myst calls her spell into existance. "Come to me, do as I will.. So mote it be."
As the air behind her shimmers a form takes shape. Rising above the trees comes the illusion of a large red dragon. Reaching down to pick up her statue, placing it back into her pouch. She turns to face the battle once more, as her dragon flies toward town.

Catching herself before she laughs out loud as she watches the scene unfold below her. The cat men who had been attacking the town are now running in all different directions. Some are trying to stay calm while others panic and try to hide.

"Maybe this will help turn the tide in our favor." Saying this Myst steps back out of sight. Staying close enough to watch and be of assistance if the need should arise.

Silvia glanced up from her work to see a crimson haired man had joined Tasha. She managed a small smile before moving on to the next chained child, her eyes glittering with tears as she recalled the death of her youngest brother. Her mind distracted, she didn't notice the catman sneaking up behind her until she heard the twang of a bow and an arrow flying by her head with a hiss. The wide eyed blonde flinched, turning to see a catman fall with an arrow in his chest.

The keys rattled in her hand as she shook slightly from the scare. As she turned back to the people she was doing her best to rescue, Silvia heard a cry of fear.

Startled and wondering what new kind of danger could be presenting itself, the small woman looked around fearfully to see of all things a red dragon flying straight at the small village.

Her mouth fell open in an 'o', and she nearly dropped the keys as she stared at the alarming sight.

Justin shot his head up, looking at the flying beast. "A red dragon? In these parts?!" Justin noticed all the Slavers heading in one direction, dropping all of the slaves and other captives whil they did so. But what made it more interesting was that they were all heading out of the twon, in one mass.

Perfect target.

Justin pulled out the last two explosive arrows and lit them both. He carefully took aim at the sky and pulled back. "I'd sudjest you all get down and cover you heads!" Justin released the two arrows into the sky, both stayed up high for the first few seconds then landed right in the middle causing a huge explosive impact.

Tasha

Seeing the dragon comming up over the hill, and watching the catmen run made Tasha laugh.

Turning to look at the stranger who had helped her with the Catmen and hearing him Shout."I'd sudjest you all get down and cover you heads!" Tash turned running at full force tword's Slivia, Knocking them both to the ground as the arrow's hit.

Her head still pounding from the hit she had taken earler, the sound from the explosion didnt help matter's much, nor did her dive knocking them both to the ground. Sitting up slowly, Tasha's vision was a little blurry but it was ok now, she could relax a little the catmen were retreating. Turning to Silvia with a smile she said helping her up.Are you ok??? i think i may need you to look at my head now.

Strength began to surge through my limbs, must be magic I thought to myself, naught else could have this effect. Catmen again began to fall under my sword and horse, as they tried to retreat out of town.

*Looking around* something sparkling on the hill, now it is gone.

The explosion sends dirt and debris everywhere. The broken bodies of catmen are strewn throughout the town. Looking around, I notice the remnants of my tiny band, and those villagers that still remain. Turning my horse, I turn and start up to investigate what I had seen on the hill.

Silvia let out a small squeak as Tasha hit her body sending her small form hurtling towards the ground with a soft thump. Once the blonde had her breath back, she sat up with Tasha's help and looked at the red head worriedly.

"Thank you, but you really shouldn't have jostled your head like that." Silvia said, looking over Tasha's head with an experienced eye. She paid no heed to her surroundings, feeling safe if a little shell shocked.

"Hmm...." The blonde thought for moment, and held up a finger in front of Tasha's eyes.

"Can you follow my finger with your eyes?" She asked, moving her finger back and forth slowly in front of the red haired woman.

Just sat down and exhaled in relife. Slavers were weak, but they were large in numbers and midless, so they came back like foolish zombies. He pulled out a cloth and cleaned the blood off of the blade, then put it back in its holder. Justin stood up again and looked around.

Many of the survivors were women and small children. Not a surprize, Slavers usual just killed and devoured male humans. "At least they were stoped before they could go any further."

Myst

Watching from her hiding spot within the trees Myst held her breath as the archers arrows found their target. Feeling very proud of the little rag tag group and herself for running off the slavers. Of course she knew the slavers would return they always did. But for the day this victory was theirs to claim and enjoy.

Raising her hands to the sky, Myst sings a soft song of victory to her Lord and Lady for their blessings. Asking for their permission to aid one last time. Before watching as her dragon shimmers and slowly shifts into nothingness. Leaving no sign that it was ever there.

Slipping into the shadows of the forest as she watches the warrior make his way up the hillside to her position. Indecision upon her lovely face. Should she show herself to this human or should she hide as she has always done? Knowing her kind were not always accepted nor trusted, with good reason at times.

Time... there never was enough time. As the warrior crests the hill, Myst makes her choice. Adjusting her cloak, pulling the hood up and over her head. She steps out of the shadows to greet the warrior, praying that her choice was the right one.

Quickly, but carefully making my way up the hill, aware that moving too slowly may allow my quarry to escape, but that carelessness may result in injury, and maybe even death. Nothing was visible to the naked eye, until she suddenly appeared before me. Struggling to control my horse for a brief moment, I looked her over. I assumed she was a woman, absed on the way her robes followed the shape of her body, showing just a glimpse of her femine form beneath. Her face was covered by a hood, allowing no glimpse of her features.

"Hail there, I mean you no harm, I merely seek to thank you for your timely assistance. Do not worry, your kind is welcome amongst my brothers."

Tasha

Its a little blurry but i can see that their is only one. hehe at least tis not two or three. Tasha replyed as Slivia continued to look at her head. Tasha looked around for the red headed warrior who had helped her. She wished to thank him for his aid, as well as who ever had cast the spell's helping to turn the tide. Once Silvia was finnished with her head she planed on searching for her brother. Vence had to be alive he just had to be.........

Justin stood up and walked over to the remaining imprisoned people. He took the chains in his hands, and with ease, ripped them apart, causing the cuffs to streatch and break off. He then walked over to the cages where most of the young women were traped and took hold of the bars. 'This is going to be a tough pull,' Thought Justin. The cage was lined with a certain kind of steel. It was a strong type of metal that catman such as Worrens used. This made Justin wonder why slime like Slavers would have such rare and powerful tpes of steel?

Justin gritted his fangs as he pulled the bars with all his might. "Just... a bit more..." The bars began crack under the pressure, then snap off, giving enough passage for the women to go free.

He did this to the last five cages, freeing the rest of them. "Phew... Now that thats done..." Justin wiped the sweat off of his head and looked at the redhead. "Is she okay?"

Myst

Sighs deeply

Speaking in a melodious tune..
"If only that were true great warrior, but I thank you for saying as such. My kind are never accepted I have learned this in my travels. Come there is need of healing in the town and we will be needed again shortly. For the slavers never stay down long, they return for those they miss."

Looking away from the warrior, "We are needed down the hill to heal and tend to the damage. Come warrior your sword may yet be needed."

Making her way down the hillside, watching her footing as well as paying attention to the warrior next to her. Watching for any sign of danger whether from the cat men or from the town itself. The town she wasn't sure could be saved but at least they had saved some of its people.

Once reaching the bottom of the hill Myst pulled on a set of soft leather gloves. Before heading for the nearest of the wounded, hoping that she could help.

Keeping her eyes on the warriors as well on the first lady she had seen on the ground. It would not be good if her secret was known to all just yet. Maybe someday she would tell, but until then it was best as it was.
