Account Problems with Comments and Favorites

Within the last week, two stories have been published to my account, The Rule of Three Pt. 01-02 and the Rule of Three Pt. 03-04. Both stories have problems with Favorites and quite possibly with reader comments.

1) Although both have ratings above 4.6, with a total of over 8,000 reads, I have not received a single comment for either story.

2) In addition, the "Favorites" count is incorrect on both of them, based on a manual count of the notifications on My Home.

The first issue is possible, but seems statistically unlikely, considering the stories' apparent popularity. One reason this caught my attention was because I ran into an issue while trying to comment on a story from a different writer last week where the comment text field would not allow me to click in it. I sent a personal message instead.

The second issue does not make sense. I can understand some latency between user input and compilation into story statistics. The Favorites data has been wrong for days, however.

If Comments were not forwarded, how do I get those back? If users were unable to comment, I expect I might be blamed, and that problem would also be reflected in the story Ratings and Favorites. How do I recover those?

I am waiting to hear a resolution before I submit a third story to this series.

Please advise. Thank you.

Checking my next most recent submission, Nanny Penny, I found the Favorites count on that was incorrect, as well. I can provide a list of user names who were reported as marking these stories as Favorites, if desired.

You will be notified that someone favorited your story if it's added to a list. The list might even be private, so there's no way for you to know why you got the notification. It's very confusing.

That's not uncommon. Just because it's got an H rating doesn't mean people will comment.

Story metadata is never consistent across the site. There are different refresh rates for different pages, and nothing is ever in synch. Your Control Panel is the source of truth, so far as I can see.

You're talking about chapters in a longer story. It's often the way that people won't comment until the end, and if you're progressively releasing chapters, some folk won't bother, won't get to the end.
The second issue does not make sense. I can understand some latency between user input and compilation into story statistics. The Favorites data has been wrong for days, however.
It's always "wrong".

I don't think you can recall comments. Once you've posted a comment on your own story you can delete it, but once you've sent a comment to someone else, only the receiving author or the site can delete it.

Why would you be blamed? If for whatever reason your comment didn't get there, no-one will ever know.

There's no resolution to be had. Post your next chapter - that's got nothing to do with comments.
